The stock clutches are made out of butter. There are an increasing number of people suffering from early clutch wear on these N's.

Actually really reasonable insurance for young people, not many people bought them, stole them since they think it's just a regular Hyundai or crashed them, so the rates are still low. Atleast compared to Focus ST's, Audi S3's, Type-R's....

These are lovely to drive. I usually pick up 0 mileage ones from the dealership often to do work on. And they are excellent to drive, you will never believe it until you drive one. And trust me i have driven pretty much every car out there.

Learnt to drive in a i30 and tbh it's such a great car! Especially stock, now finding out that he managed to get insured, this is a top contender for my next whip

Good for you. My daily I30 1.6diesel dct transmission bogs and hesitates and just slips every time and the boot is getting to be rusted and car will be one year old in march! After owning an I30N for 1.5 years and 35k kms, that's clutch started slipping and i started hearing bearing noises from there. Also you can check, koreans just simply cannot paint the plastic bumpers to match the color of the side fenders, however other brands can do it. Never mind the color, just check. I got fed up with these and sold both. Of course they are cheap and for that money they are ok, but for me they just dont tick the boxes.

@@fer1306 the dct's are the same in lots of different cars unfortunately. My outlander bogs and is a bit sluggish from a standing start, calibration of the clutch packs can improve it or software remap. Haven't seen any issues with the plastics on our 17 plate tucson or the older cars. Get good and bad with all manufacturers
