Maya reminds me of one of our dogs, a Shepard mix, when I was a kid who always wanted to be part of any project we did around the house or in the yard. She was such a sweetie who we joked about saying she didn't know she was a dog.

Just a suggestion from someone who has had the same problem with there auger if you change out your screw eye at the bottom of your bit youd be shocked at how much a difference it makes. Merry Christmas!

Maya is such a silly cowcow. Ya gotta keep her around just for being so personable and lovable. Nice to see those new drill teeth made such a difference even on cold, dry clay. Maybe with extra weight, tungsten bits and a modern drill, it would do better, but this seems to work well.

The weakest part of a three-point post hole digger is the swivel ball that attaches to the top link bracket on the tractor. Every pound that is added will be leveraged to a three pound increase on the swivel ball. The three inch tube that supports the auger tapers down to an inch where the swivel ball is attached. An advantage to having a bracket to accept your tamper bar is that very little weight is hanging on the auger during transport. Also, a second person would notice when the hole was being drilled at an angle.

I’m waiting for the day when you start using the Allis chalmers tractor again

Up thru 60's most pto post hole augers were equipped with an sleeve to slip in a 1/14 pipe for ground man to guide / help dig faster. Those are gone, as are ready available helper.

You mat have to try catch and release with Maya when you work around her!!!! Catch her and coral her until you get done, then release her. She's just a big kid. 😮😮😂😂😂

When I use to building fence our auger teeth wore out regularly. We would weld it and grind them to shape.

make a pattern of the new tooth so you make your own down the line..

Take a 3" or 4" PVC cap and drill a mounting hole through the center mount the cap to your finder for a great cup holder... Works great and you can paint the cap any color
