They used to be crapboxes and still kind of are. They provide good value but are easy to steal and look strange. Most stolen vehicles in the U.S are Hyundais.

It traps 106mph+ in the 1/4 mile in good conditons. Thats similsr to a B58 540i Xdrive, Charger R/T, Stinger GT AWD, and a Type R. People always clamour about the 2.0T Accord but its nowhere near as good as the Sonata Nline. I use to think the 2.0T was great but now i thinks its kind meh for a turbo 4. Id rather have an older V6 accord or Sonata/K5 2.5T

Trap speeds ive seen were around 102-104mph which is similar to the kia k5 and charger RTs. The others are lil quicker. Still good value for the money.

Currently leasing a ‘23 Sonata NLine & so pleased with it that I’m looking forward to leasing a ‘25 next year in lieu of the G80 Sport I highly considered. Coming from Infiniti and Lexus/Toyota, although it’s missing a few luxurious amenities to which I’m accustomed, I’m pleased with the overall package for the money - definitely a solid vehicle ………… and a true sleeper, too.

Another car to consider (which Miles also reviewed the pre-facelift of) is the Kia K5 GT. It is essentially the same car as the Sonata N-line wrapped in a different package. The interesting difference between the two are options and pricing. The K5 GT starts roughly $2,000 less than the N-Line. However, the K5 GT can be optioned with a $4,400 “GT1 package” which once optioned makes the car $2,000 more than the N-line. So there is actually a solution for some of the features Miles is complaining are missing on the Sonata N-line: just get a K5 GT lol. Here is what that “GT1 package” gets you: 12.3-inch Curved Instrument Display Digital Key 2 Bose® Premium Audio System w/ 12 Speakers Active Sound Design 19-inch Alloy Wheels, Gloss Black Finish Driver's Seat & Outside Mirror Integrated Memory System 10-Way Power Passengers's Seat w/ 2-Way Power Lumbar Adjustment Ventilated Front Seats Parking Collision-Avoidance Assist-Reverse Surround View Monitor Blind-Spot View Monitor Side Parking Sensors Power-Folding Side View Mirrors Power Windows w/ One-Touch Auto-Up/Down Rear seat air vents

I don’t get why Hyundai got rid of the 1.6t engine for this refresh. I had a pre refresh Sonata 1.6t Limited as a rental car when I went to Tennessee a couple years ago. It was a pretty good motor and surprisingly, I didn’t need to put in a lot of fuel before returning it which showed how well the fuel economy was for the few days I had it.

I'm in Australia and have registered for a class action against Hyundai for that 1.6T engine. Apparently people with a lot of issues. I've owned an Elantra Sport for 6 years with that engine and not had an issue myself. But I'd say that's why it suddenly disappeared.

Seeing 3 teslas at the same red light is WILD to me and it's part of the reason I'll never get one. Also, when you get to the parts where you start pushing the cars, you should shut off the AC. Drains immense amounts of power.
