Youre getting less actually theyre not being honest. The v8 today is worse than the v8 from 15 years ago. It used to be steel now its aluminum. Theyve skimped all over in ways they hope you cant see or wont notice.

Both wrong. A truck from 10-20 years ago would cost similar when adjusted for inflation. Those trucks would get you a four speed and 220 horsepower and optional was a sluggish 300 horsepower 5.4. The money you think you are overpaying for gets you 325 horsepower standard and 400 horsepower with either optional gas engine. That aluminum 5.0 block is super strong by the way. It can reliably handle 800-1,000 horsepower.

@@TheAnnoyingBossthe 5.0 is better than any v8 from 15 years ago and not a single problem has been caused by switching to aluminum casting. I’ll give ford crap for making it unnecessarily expensive with all the other features but the drivetrains in these trucks are solid.

“Lower trim level”, still $50k+. Absurd for an everyday person who uses their truck for truck things.

The height of the driver was only relevant when talking about the interior......not all trucks are suitable for taller heavy set drivers.

Hilarious. A $50K truck without a bed liner. Optional extra. But, I got the "got to talk to the manager", treatment at the 5 minute mark. Because I've not been in a car dealer for a few years, it took me two minutes to walk out.

Crazy that a STX goes for like 54k...

I have the same truck, 2018 model. Steering wheel was the first thing to go! The hardest, weirdest urethane material I have ever experienced in my nearly 50 years alive. New XLT takeoff on eBay for $250 and all is good. Looking back now, I don't know how it managed to get by my scrutiny during the test drive. Truly awful!

Took a ride in the 24 STX. The road/tire noise is unbelievable. Hard to imagine spending 50k on one of these. Absolutely wild

Spent 31,000 for my 2018 STX Brand new. Crazy how now I can’t afford an STX

Really dig the STX with paint matched bumpers and trim. Looks super clean! Just built one online; 5.0L V8, 4x4, Bedlined and max trailer tow pkg showed $56k before taxes. That’s a lot of truck for a lot of money.

Wish we had a TC Customs down in Foley/Gulf Shores. This dude is so much fun to listen to.

Just got one a week ago in avalanche and blackout. Looks like a higher end truck. Not a lot of features but I learned to hate those features on my raptor. Plus, I got a v8.

Traded in a 2008 RAM 1500 for my STX and BEAM ME UP SCOTTY!!! Exterior is white and pretty vanilla. Interior is plush and quiet, and all digital. Took me a minute to figure it out, but I love my new FORD truck.

No 3.5 ecoboost in the 2024 STX. I have a 2021 STX with 3.5 and FX4 package. The 3.5 is a must for me. Intake,cat back and performance tune and your set.

Just bought a 2000 f150 i think thats the newest ford i can still enjoy. The engine just works and doesnt try to adjust valves and shut down and idle and all that stuff they started doing

So, what going on with the F150 ABS sensors? I just purchased a 2023 Lariat and didn't get ten miles from the dealership when 5-6 messages start lighting up my instrument cluster. Take it back to the dealership, they tell me the front rt ABS is bad. Could be two days, two weeks or two months before they can get a replacement. Judging from the number of videos pertaining to the F150 ABS system issues it's been going on for quite a while.

Packing all that drive assist crap in to help justify the insane cost?

I do not care for the digital display at all and what the heck, that could never be a nice ranch truck. I always jump in with the door open to just move my vehicles around and stuff. This new safety tech is just ridiculous. Guess I'm going to have to suck it up and keep the old 01 and 77 running.

It looks nice enough, but I'll stick with my infinitely reliably, albeit slow and thirsty, 2003 F150 XLT 4.6L 4x4. My full-coverage car insurance is $600/yr, I can repair most things myself, and I own it!

My 2015 F150 fully loaded lariat. Heated and cool seats. Heated rear seats. Pano roof. 4wd. Bedlined. Heated steering wheel. Remote start. 77k miles. Is still a better value. After market mods. Bds 6inch lift 2.5 fox performance elite front and rear . 12inch vertical touch screen. Etc etc. I look for a reason to sale my truck for something new and QUICKLY REALIZE it’s not worth it. The new trucks don’t compare. Oh I have auto high beams to lol. Honestly my 2015 has everything I mentioned

The previous gen fords from few years ago XLT trim with the massive chrome front looked better in my opinion. If Ford offers some rebates and discounts I'm sure they will sell a ton of these. Sticker price is too high. Good review.

I love the STX package. I have a 2020 race red STX which is kind of a unicorn truck. I flew from AZ to Kansas City for this truck and got a great surprise. The factory accidentally added the keyless entry key pad on the door. This was not available on an STX in 2020. It didn’t work but the dealer went into the computer and turned it on. The only thing I was going to miss from my old truck was this keyless entry and Shazam it was there by mistake . Love this truck. FYI Ford bring back the race red color

For 2024, the STX is now its own trim level. It used to be a package for the XL trim level

2:18 I have to disagree. I think the neon/yellow accent on the fender looks really cool, especially with the gray/silver metallic. Gives the STX trim that sporty look that Ford was going for. I think this STX and even the base XL are the best value F-150’s available. And nicely equipped for such low end trims. Btw, get the 5.0 Coyote V8 while you still can because before too long, you’ll have to step up to a Super Duty if you still want V8 power. (Hopefully I’m wrong.)

There is not a bed utility package available on STX. Deal killer for me cuz I’m old.

I have a 97 regular cab with 6.5 bed with 4.6 V-8 in Lariet trim; 108K mi with rebuilt front end, new brakes and tires all around. It runs great with dual exhaust; it doesn't burn or leak oil. I love the new trucks with all the bells and whistles, but I might drive 3K mi/yr doing odd things around the house during the year. So, the rational to sell my current truck to buy this or the XL model just isn't there for me.

Honest question: do you ever cover the Ranger? I've seen Broncos, F150s, Mavericks, and even Explorers, but I don't recall a video like this for the Ranger. My oldest son would love to hear about it.

Does the f150 with manual seats have a manual hight adjustment?

I’m confused because a lot of dealerships sell the XLT without floor boards and it looks like it should be an XL now the packages are confusing to me my 2019 XLT looks like a Lariat in the inside and it has WiFi with the 201 chrome package not really understanding it and got it for 53k and it had the rear sliding window plus bed liner I guess I did get a deal love my truck and it’s a super crew cab

Being in cold 🇨🇦 climates I wish they would have this new stx with heated front seats at least. For the cost of the truck it should have heated front seats and power front seats.

I’m not sure I like the owners manual built in. What happens when you need to access the manual and you can’t turn on the truck plus if you’re looking up something for under the hood and your manual is on the screen inside the truck that means you have to keep going back and forth from the engine to the cab to look at the manual. That’s a dumb feature on Ford’s part
