    I firmly believe that for Mercedes' EVs, their flat-surface wheels would be better served by harking back to the late 80s/early 90s AMG wheels and some of their rally works wheels that were nearly flat surfaced. It fits the heritage and is a fun note, while looking better than the hub-cap look they went with.

  • @yash.kapoor

    @yash.kapoor

    They could do that, or alternatively they could do some modern take on the wheels they used back in the 70s on the W123 and W116. The old AMG-style wheels could then be reserved for the current AMG versions

    You obviously haven’t seem them in person. The size difference is very significant and they’re clearly different vehicles. Of course for some people all cars look the same and they can’t tell apart Honda from Kia. However most people can tell the difference. Traditional S-class or current EQS buyer aren’t really looking to show off. These cars are usually company cars. At least in Europe. Maybe in the US people explicitly want to show off with their car? Sounds kinda tacky.

    @@CH-qt4hr I know everyone has their own scenarios, but having had a 3 and then a Y going on 4 years now, the frunk has been used all the time, sometimes even just to have stuff on me, without it taken up primary space. Spring to Summer I keep my mountain biking gear, in it as it can be dirty, stink, etc and thus nothing smelling up the cabin. But ready to go any moment with helmet, shoes, tools, glasses, towels, etc up there. That and some cleaners/etc can all be up there, and still have the car and trunk, etc empty looking. Which is also good to avoid theft. Or when on road trips for weekend or camping, it's crazy how much can fit in there, keeping the passenger area more clear. Also the 'deep trunk' area is similar as it's like bonus space to fit things in, yet not affect the day to day use of passenger area or even trunk space from looking empty. F150 of course has an amazing large frunk, and for anyone actually using it as a pickup for contracting work, you can store bunch of tools/etc in there and still have your bed and entire cabin clear, and avoid theft as most people don't even know it's a storage area, much less what is in it vs in cabin or pickup bed.

    My dad has one, not by choice by the way. The thing drives like a mercedes sprinter van. Its heavy as shit, i can feel it dive over bumps and railroads because of the weight. On the other hand it has really accurate steering. No visibility all around, windshield is to slanted rear window is as big as a side window and the a pillar is always in the way.

    I thought this was an EQS review and then I realized it was missing the back end.

    Thanks for reviewing this one Doug! I've seen these on the Autobahn quite a few times now but their look still doesn*t grow on me. its just that aerodynamic shape, which of course helps with range but it does look "funny". Love the Interieur a lot thhough, definitely one of the best on the Market! Prost & Cheers from Berchtesgaden in the Bavarian Alps

    You always claim to regularly see all the german cars that Doug reviews... Oh, and your "signature" is awkward and stupid.

    Warning to whoever buys this car: you will NOT be able to get up your driver profile, as Doug has already set his fingerprints in this video!
