The 2023 CELTMAN Extreme Scottish Triathlon | Kristian Hill’s Journey
The Celtman consists of 3 disciplines:
3.4km open loch swim
202km bike around a segment of Scotlands beautiful NC500 route
42km mountain marathon
This has been a goal of mine for a long time, I only really got into triathlon in 2020 when I bought a bike during the pandemic like everyone else. For me this event stood for a lot, it was one of the proudest moments of my life, it shows anyone what you can achieve when you put your mind to something and it was just such a memorable weekend spent with some of the closest people in my life. I'm very grateful to have captured this weekend on video and be able to share the story of what it felt like to become a Celtman.

Stumbled upon this video and glad I did. You put together a great wee movie, showing the Celtman for what it is, brutal and stunning! I finished in 2022 and your experience is very similar to my own. Well done on achieving your goal

Glad you enjoyed it!
Great work Kristian, and thanks for the film. This is inspiring for me firstly as I’m a 48-year-old rookie Sprint triathlete aiming to do my second Olympic distance tri next year, but also because I’m a social entrepreneur building my second big impact venture, Woodland Savers, and what you said about “you can’t hide from this”, “don’t be surprised by the result if you do the work”, and about becoming someone new by setting and accomplishing these goals, and not many people can do this work, is exactly the kind of focused encouragement founders like me need in the foothills of a big, complex and important challenge. Bravo and looking forward to a similar well-deserved beer once I get there 🙏🏼🌳🥃

Love this comment! Thank you for your kind words
Firstly, well done on the event. But actually I’m equally impressed with the video and production work ! Great watch 👍🏻
Amazing video of class quality. Good to see coverage of the Celtman from a fellow Scot. Well done, onwards and upwards mate.
Amazing achievement and a fantastic video! I'm doing my first ultramarathon next year but one day I would love to take on a triathlon - except I cant ride a bike to save my life, and my best swimming stroke is doggy paddle. I do love a challenge though, so who knows! Probably not this one though 😅
Just sat and watched this on a beach in Mallorca, class watch mate and great achievement👏🏽 very inspiring, should be proud of yourself!
Great effort and really well filmed! 💪
Just wanted to add to these comments. I did Celtman this year also, met you briefly at the end with my dad (Chris). I've watched everything there is to watch on Celtman and this is the best vlog! No dressing it up, no trying to be macho or XXtreme like some others have done in the past.. let the event speak for itself. Wicked account of the day and all the support and prep that goes into it! Cracking race & vlog mate!

Jimmy from Johnny foxes, what a statement 😂 great to meet you brother!
Loved this video. Just completed Weymouth 70.3, the hardest thing I’ve ever done, but it showed me that I can keep going even when I feel I can barely stand, let alone keep moving. And like you, it’s changed how I see myself. And your story inspires me to go for more - full Ironman one day, but maybe not the Celtman 😂
Great video, I did Celtman in 2015 (white t-shirt) and 2016 (blue t-shirt) and I still remember the "wonderful" headwinds... sometimes reaching a massive 20kph in some of the downhills on the bike. Well done on finishing!!
This is some video man, like a god damn Netflix doc 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Great work Kristian, smashed it lad
Well done. Very impressive. 👍 Great video production.
Incredible mate, proud of you 🙌🏻
Great watch mate. So glad you documented this
Top class 👏
Great watch and what an achievement!! Very well done! I too aspire to one day do the Celtman one day, I take my hat off to anyone that completes it.
absolutely incredible mate! what a man🫵🏻
First time watching your channel and this was some journey mate! Well done.
Massive congratulations . Great watch mate. So glad you documented this.
Massive congratulations 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Brilliant!!! Really inspiring, well produced video also!
Great job man, cheers!
Outstanding video dude, very inspiring!
It's a personal journey, I totally get that. My own journeys and challenges, mostly always solo and way less than this, lol (e.g., solo marathons, 50k hills, solo 70.3 with hills, 30+k tyre-pull run, etc), are similar (sort of) in that it's a mind game way beyond the physical. This was one really inspiring watch, and has got me thinking, what's next for me? Thanks for putting in the time to share with us @TheKristianHill
