I have been looking forward to this one for a while. I’m highly considering the GT-Line for my next lease

KIA has been knocking it out of the park with their new line of cars, both ICE, Hybrid / Plug-in Hybrid and Full EV in both styling, design language, tech, performance, EV Range and Pricing

Kia is killing it. Banger after banger. I really like their EV platform.

This seems like an EV that I’d actually consider buying. IMO they killed it with the rear end design (in a good way). Front is a little meh.

Strange, I think the front looks great with samurai headlights, the rear on the other hand looks a bit fruity with that sharp edge along the taillights

Looking at the Chevy EV's coming down the line, I think Chevy will be fine, as long as the dealerships don't do what Kia dealerships are doing, $10-$15k over MSRP is a joke.

Man, This Brand - New Kia EV6 Is Definitely Amazing. Also I'm Totally Love The Design On This Vehicle. But Also Kia Is Not Playing Around With This Vehicle & Tesla Needs To Watch Out, Here's Comes Kia. But Great Review Sofyan.

Wow, buttons! A neat, normal car. No annoying updates that change your entire vehicle interface (tesla)

Man, the EV6 looks so good! Definitely feeling some FOMO having pulled the trigger on a different EV. Great to see more competition out there and I'm looking forward to catching a glimpse of them on the road.

I recently went for a Model 3 cuz I do love Tesla’s and the ioniq just didn’t do it at all for me. Don’t know if I fully regret it since the Kia is significantly more money with less range and as someone that’s owned kias before Ik the depreciation on them is an issue, but man is it beautiful and it would’ve been the only EV I’d consider over the Tesla.

This EV6 has already won multiple COTY awards in Europe! It should do very well in the US as well. I certainly prefer this to the Ioniq 5, though that's really cool too.

Yet compared to the BMW the interior is a plastic joke. I am not even into EV's but it's clear BMW is streets ahead in design quality. The awards are obviously rigged to pick Korean crap over German to begin with.

I always have thoughts like this. Take EV6's interior and Ioniq 5's exterior and mix into a vehicle... That would be fantastic.

Kia will be the next Best Car Manufacturer. Take a screen shot for future reference.

Seeing this vehicle is what got me interested in EVs in the first place. I've done tons of research over everything available in the market and almost settled for a Model Y Performance. There are things I don't like about Tesla that could easily be improved if they cared enough. So, I'm back at this vehicle. I'm going to either get a fully loaded GT-Line or the GT. They just need to price the GT below MYP. We'll see.

So which car did you end up getting? I recently picked up a GT with an awesome deal. It was still more expensive than the MYP but to me it was worth it.

I am a fan of your site and reviews, well done and change nothing 👏 feel you are honest and love the 😁 of enjoyment during acceleration testing 😀

Mine was delivered on Monday (in the UK, 3 weeks before its ETA). I really like it so far.

Which trim did you get and how many miles are you averaging? Also, is charging it less expensive than gas?

I think the Kia EV6 has the best interior compared to the other EV interiors, because of the ergonomics. My gripe with most EV’s are that they ditch the volume and tuning knobs and they put the climate control system into the infotainment screen (such as the VW ID4 and Tesla products). I also like the size of the gauge cluster (compared to a lack of one in some Tesla products and the teeny tiny one in the VW ID4) and how there are still traditional switches for the doors and windows. There are also the heated/ventilated seats are outside of the infotainment screen, in-which I think it will make it easier for users to interact with the interior compared to the competitors.

That is the first electric car that I would love to own! It's so awesome.

I was gonna purchase the g70 a bit more than a year ago then i read about kia/hyundai releasing EVs and I waited. The Kia EV6 had me sold. I'll wait for the GT trim first before I make the dive. I'm glad you're highly praising it :P

I just picked up the Kia Niro EV and it is pretty amazing. I leased so in 3 years hopefully things are back to normal and I can get a Telluride EV

Things are not going back to normal Dwight. Not sure if you read articles or watch news but everyone says we aren’t going back to pre-Covid life. And politicians don’t want us to. Money and power are at stake.

I think it looks good! I'm basically at the point in my life where I don't care it's a Kia lol.

I look at the exterior of this, and think, "Wow. The Tesla needs a redesign." :)

The fake sound actually gives you a sense of scifi, like being inside a futuristic shuttle. Really cool background white noise.

Great review sofyan! Definitely excited for the new EV offerings. I’m curious to see why they have a separate plastic cover for the storage while everyone else has an opening with a weather strip seal for the frunk

This car in red is beautiful and is something new. Personally, I would prefer the Ioniq 5 if I had the choice. I am looking forward to the smaller EVs from Kia and Hyundai.

Yes, Ioniq 5 is better than Kia ev6. Only advantage of Kia ev6 is a little faster and interior is better looking than ioniq 5.

@@_gokz I've been driving the 2017 Ioniq car. and i didnt really like the the plastic-ky concept which is now brought on to ioniq 5. I like ioniq 5 to be more spacious and comfortable. And also yes, you are right, Kia had always design to be more sporty (ie : Stinger). But now i'm in dilema to choose Ioniq 5 or EV6 GT. ATM, my preference is the EV6 GT really has the power as in 740 Nm torque, also max speed 260 KM/H.

For the 360 view you can switch the color of the model car ; it’s in the settings.

Great job by KIA. Will get one as soon as the dealers get off their $10K markup jag. Hopefully supply chain insanity ends by Summer. Too bad the established makers don't adopt Tesla's online ordering (even if the markup is baked in). Nice review!

Just traded in my eAWD Wind for the GT and love it. This car is so much fun to drive and ride in especially at night with all the light effects. We got runway red and it’s look hot.

@@MOJump23 because of my commute for work I'm looking at Kia EV6 GT.

I have my eye on the GT version as this car looks great from all angles. The one thing that really stood out and bothers me is that in the US version the rear turn signals are on the top light bar, and all the other reviews from foreign countries have it on the lower part where the diamond patterned chrome trim is located. It looks way cooler to have the lights on the lower part and I am bummed about that change. Hope they would offer an aftermarket fix for this!

Another cool video man... People always have a great time watching you. I will say that I would have loved to see the level 2 self-driving features of the EV6 demonstrated or at least explained. Most EVs seem to be trying to do something in this area, and I think the EV6 does too.😁

In the last 2 years I've been watching your channel, you guys have grown so much! Both you and Rob do a great job and the production value keeps going up. Manufacturers notice this too as you are getting earlier and earlier access. I only see Doug getting some earlier access, but you're right up there, plus you beat him by 10+hrs to this one! 1M subs is coming soon I'm sure!

Between Redline, Savagegeese and Throttle House the production value keeps increasing and getting awesome (while lower subscribers), but Doug and Straightpipes are gaining subs like crazy because they are clickbaity as hell

Another great review and a car definitely worth considering for someone going full EV. To me, I love this style better than the Ioniq 5. Not a fan of the side indent. Looks like a grocery cart ran into it. Kia knocked their first attempt out of the park with some really useful features and amenities i.e. the heated and cooled front AND back seats along a very practical heat pump for us in cold weather folks living in the northeast. Thanks for the review!

I personally love the design, I prefer it over the Ionic 5. Thinking of going for a Test Drive when one comes up in my area.

The bright red GT awd looks good. Very slick looking. Definitely awd model needed in NE.

2:22 the wheels remind me a LOT of the 2018+ Accord sport (used to have this), sharp!!

People have managed just over 2 so it wasn't much of an exaggeration really. In any case all this power is worthless unless you want to run a house with it while it's charging overnight. Now that would be interesting tech.

its not a normal version though. Its gtline with dual motor and AWD. The RWD single motor is slower

I remember even over 8 years ago people were talking down on Kia, telling me they would never break out in the US market. Look at them now.

4:29 Fun fact, the connected full-vehicle width taillights style feature is called “Heckblende” from when it was popular on German cars in the 80’s. Although it existed before on cars like late 60’s Thunderbirds, it was of course the Germans that created a strangely specific word for something so obscure lol.

The loaded EV6 AWD is 7k less than a Model 3 AWD. No contest. This EV6 is really beautiful.

Design is still lot to get used too but overall in terms of range,performance and price this vehicle is great

The sounds the vehicle makes remind me of the light cycles from the Tron movies.

I test drove the AWD yesterday and man it's quick off the line. Too bad the dealership markup is $10k over MSRP or I would have purchased on the spot. Kia should not allow this, especially on a brand new car on a brand new platform because I'm sure this will affect sales number, making the first model year look like it's not as popular as it could have been. A lot of people I've talked to on the dealership lot are saying they love it but they're not going to buy $10k over MSRP. Sad.

Love my Mach E, but man I’m impressed by this car so much! Wish my Mach E had some of this interior styling.

Finally an EV that excites me and is relatively affordable, approx 62k Canadian for the GT Line AWD drive is far from cheap but not ridiculous considering the options and features. The 1.72 per litre gas prices locally as I write this makes this vehicle even more appealing, well done Kia, wish I wasn’t fresh into a new lease

This makes me hopeful for the larger suv evs coming...the ev9 and the ioniq 7 cant wait

the red one is spot on ... love it .. but its way too expensive !! can't afford it 😣

One thing about the AWD, from my understanding it disconnects the front motor when driving on the highway etc to help with efficiency.

Curious if the only delta between the two suspensions is the stiffness of the anti-swaybars? If so, are they interchangeable? I'll probably buy a 5, but will want to reduce body roll and yaw.

My favourite electric car to date

Out of all the evs on the market this is the one that I want.

Getting better. 450km range. I told myself I'm waiting for an AWD EV that will give me 500km+ of range. I was never a kia fan but I definitely like the styling. Downside I'm 6'5.

I fit in mine at 6’4 for what it’s worth.

All I want is a real electric Stinger. Basically a Model S competitor without the self driving features that adds cost.

On the contrary the grill openings ARE needed. The lithiion battery pack is water cooled so the grill openings are to cool the battery pack. Edit. Love the interior over the Hyundai. The accent led lights are nice and the center console is really nice.

This is the nicest review soyfan has ever done. He only had good things to say. This is important because he's the strongest opinionated car reviewer.

I was all in on getting and Ioniq 5 Limited AWD...but damn this EV6 GT-Line is growing on me quick.. I like the screen setup on the eV6 better.. I like the center console better and ambient lighting on the EV6 as well. The ioniq 5 looks kinda boring inside compared to this tbh. I wish the EV6 had the pano sunroof..but I guess having a good size regular one that actually opens makes it kind of a wash. Tough choice and honestly it might come down to which one I'm able to walk on to a lot and buy at MSRP sooner.

Can you tell the 2 inches of head room when you drive the Wind (more head room since no sunroof) vs the GT line? Assuming the drive would be the same with WInd AWD and Wind AWD? Thanks
