Hi, I haven't driven the hardtop version, but other automotive journlaists I know say it's quieter than anticipated for a Wranlger. I have driven the Gladiator with a hardtop and it's louder than the average SUV, but not completely overwhelming. hope that helps.

I have the gas engine (3.6 L) version with hard top and it's very quiet.
