I hope BMW figures out a better location for the cat converters and the severe heating problems associated with them. Placing the twin turbos and the twin cat converters on top of the engine is the major cause of the rather short life of these engines. The exhaust heat gets the heads so hot that the valve stem seals dry up and the engines begin to burn oil, resulting in a rather short lifespan for a car that costs so much. The current situation encourages leasing, simply because when these cars start burning oil, they're nearly worthless. I'm not knocking the brand, I own three BMW's at the moment.

The thing is, the m8 gc compitition fully specced is 167k, the amg fully soecced is 200+k

I just got the M8 in brands hatch grey with burgundy interior! Love it!

You didnt do a launch control What you did it is only break boost launch. You have to hold the stability system switch (not tapping it once) then when it turns completely off , you can launch it afterwards (it should show a launch control sign flag on the display when you put your foot on the gas and break ) then you can launch it Ps i own an m8 conv

I might got it wrong but I believe you think the laser light technology is some kind of adaptive led lighting technology but it is not. It really uses a high power blue laser beam fired on to a phosphorus reflective surface on the reflectors of the high beams. Yes the main beams are adaptive leds but the high beam is an actual laser illumination. Btw, it is good to hear that USA finally decided to change the regulations for laser lights. They will be the only illumination method of the future.

If you can afford this car buy it , simple. Best looking bmw.

It´s sad that the Japanese or Korean Brands give the rich customers not a High Performance Sedan or 4 door Coupe.

Although it's been 3 years since you reviewed the AMG GT 63 S, how would you compare the M8 to the GT 63 S?

They are similarly athletic. The GT 63 makes a more exciting sound and the M8 is the better looking of the two.

I've got my eye on this exact car: year, color and model. It's available for a great price like $60 000.00 off the starting price and has a 12 000 km mileage. I hope it's worth it.

I wish we got an Alpina B8 here in the US. Would be so much better suited to the daily driver use case that 99% of these will see. Not to mention I prefer the Alpina aesthetic personally. For this kind of $$$, a Panamera (even a less powerful or lighter equipped model than this) would probably be my personal choice.

The only design flaw I see in this magnificent M8 is the center console from the rear passenger perspective. Why design for a rear middle seat with nowhere for the legs to go. Big flaw for an otherwise exquisite automobile.

These cars will rarely seat more than 2 and are probably not the owner's only car

Makes sense if you want super car level performance without the dramatic attention. But I'd lean towards the RS7

Easily the best car u can buy from bmw or mercedes or audi. But at that price im going porsche everytime they are a tiers above the trio
