It is good to still see John Davis reviewing these cars. The original face (and voice) of MotorWeek. Good stuff, guys. And I agree with you. The Lincoln brand is doing leaps and bounds better than its shadow 10 years ago. So glad to see it!

Keith Jackson you are so right. The Cadillacs can’t hold a candle to the new Lincolns, and the new Lincolns have real names. If I had my choice between the new Aviator and the XT6 it wouldn’t be hard to make that choice.

TKE Wrestler I know this is a very unpopular opinion, but I would LOVE to see Ford give their Ford Ecosport the Lincoln treatment, throw the new 1.5 3 Cylinder Ecoboost engine. It would blow the Buick Encore in the dust.

TBH The 2.0L is perfect for handling this car and its petty reliable. My family fell in love with Lincoln when my aunt bought one after having another brand for 15 years that wasn't the best. My mother then bought one followed by me and three of my cousins. Currently my aunts old Lincoln MKC is rolling with over 250K miles that she gave to my grandfather after buying this Corsair because he loved. One family seven Lincolns we all swear by. Nothing separates you from the outside like a Lincoln. Thanks to Motor Week for continuing to pump out these videos.

Completely agree... At a car show recently I was most impressed by this over any other new car in the building. Being short, not many cars fit well, but even the base (non "perfect position") seats could fit me and taller people with plenty of headroom. And all of the other Lincolns were just as nice, but for 35k base it's by far the best value of anything out there.

Fellow Baby Boomer, Mr. John Davis has been there and back! I remember back in the 80's when he announced that Lincoln would even be offering a "cellular phone" in one of their new models, a bit humorous now considering all of the innovations since then. How far the automobile industry has come! Although I enjoy his "Retro Reviews" the most BY FAR, the new ones are excellent as well. He is still the best at reviewing new cars and I hope he never retires!

I could watch the legend John Davis review cars all day. 😎 Though this was more of a commercial than a review (No 0-60 times, No handling course, No brake performance test, ect) Overall it is quite a nice little suv. 🤔 I like that Lincoln actually uses names, has its own identity now, a unique and outstanding interior, and does not look like a smiling Whale shark like every other car brand is doing for some odd reason. 🙂 I generally don't like any Ford products, but Lincoln is making a great argument for their products. And no, price has nothing to do with it. I don't understand people who watch videos of luxury or high performance vehicles and then complain about price. Maybe instead of being a wet blanket, just ask yourself what steps and changes in your life that you need to take to afford such a vehicle? Just a thought. 🧐 On a side note, great music and visuals in this video.🤩

In this, you have actual buttons that do what they're supposed to, and it also looks great.

mybro727 Well it does actually, everything from resale value, technology, horsepower and all is better on the Lincoln. Who buys from GM anymore anyways?

Stop comparing this car to the escape it's not even in the same league. Not even close. So the chassis is common, big deal the rest of the car is totally different.

I just test-drove a 2018 Lincoln Continental. I was shocked at how rough the engine was, how slowly the transmission shifted, and how cheap the interior felt. Lincoln fell off my new-car buying radar after that disappointing test drive.

A 7 speed PUSH BUTTON transmission, and DIGITAL gauge cluster. Its like they havent learned a thing. Couple that with a stick on touchscreen unit that looks like an afterthought, an out of place hvac system that was hastily put together, and fords underpowered drivetrain, and you have a recipe for disaster. Ill expect to see these drop by $20,000 the moment they leave the lot.
