2020 Lincoln Corsair Review | A quiet sanctuary or a fancy Ford?

The 2020 Corsair replaces the MKC as the most entry-level Lincoln in the lineup, and it doesn't look the least bit short on style.

If you haven't checked out a new Lincoln SUV, you're missing a brand resurgence. We've tested all four of them during the past couple years and came away pleasantly surprised each time.
Lincoln offers a pair of turbocharged 4-cylinder engines that each link with an 8-speed automatic transmission, which can occasionally hiccup when starting from the lower gears. Otherwise, it's a smooth affair that keeps these torque-happy engines in their powerbands. The 2.0T trim has a 2.0-liter with 250 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque. Front-wheel drive (FWD) is standard, and all-wheel drive (AWD) is optional. AWD is the only choice with the 2.3T trim, which shares a 295-hp, 310 lb-ft, 2.3-liter engine with the Mustang.
It's easy to get comfortable inside the Corsair. Seat controls are on the doors, like in a Mercedes, so you don't have to reach down and fumble with your fingers. Another button activates one of five massage settings on the touchscreen, which also has controls for five lumbar and bolster settings. The driver and passenger have 24 ways of adjustment with the Perfect Position seats, including separate extensions for each thigh. The driving position feels airy and not too tall, with lots of glass and good sightlines. Rear passengers can slide the seat back a couple of inches and recline-not always a given in this vehicle class. With optional heated rear seats and the panoramic moonroof, it's very pleasant to ride in the back of a Corsair. Headroom and legroom are in good supply, too.
Lincoln, like BMW, Volvo, and Hyundai, offers the option to use your smartphone as an ignition key. I couldn't test this feature on my Corsair, as it was deactivated. It works through the Lincoln Way app and can lock, unlock, and start the car via Bluetooth. It's an interesting, but not imperative, feature. Better is the hidden touchpad on the B-pillars, a longtime Ford/Lincoln convenience that lets you input a 5-digit code to unlock the car (and lets you reliably lock your phone and key inside).
The 2020 Corsair starts at $35,945 for the 2.0T FWD with leatherette, 10-way power seats, LED headlights, a power tailgate, and the driver assists. That's fine for a more basic car. CarGurus recommends the Corsair Reserve 2.0T AWD, which stickers for $49,225 with the destination fee. The Reserve trim brings an upgraded 14-speaker Revel stereo, navigation, leather, a panoramic moonroof, and 19-inch wheels. Our recommended trim includes the Reserve I package, which adds Co-Pilot360 Plus, automatic parallel parking, 360-degree cameras, rain-sensing wipers, a heated steering wheel, heated rear seats, and heated and cooled front seats.

This is #1 in the segment imo
I love this review. Nice style and approach. A good change from the typical.
Really good and fair review. Have never watched you before, I'll keep an eye out!
Excellent presentation. Thank you.
I wish he did more reviews. By far my fav. Keep it up bud.
Although I knew the history from the beginning, I always think of the F4U Corsair fighter plane from WWII when I hear this car mentioned. I may be biased on that due to my job, but I kind of thought that’s what Lincoln was thinking too, as the premiere model for its first year came in Aviator Blue exterior and interior, which in a world of bland, plain mostly gray, white, and black vehicles, stood out.

Launch All Vipers Lincoln themselves refer to the fighter plane as well
Less than 2 minutes in and brilliant!
Beautiful inside and out. Perfect other than Lincoln dealer body.
At first glance (in windowed mode) I thought Clifford's hair was blowing the doors off that hat.
This looks like a Chrysler 300 in the front and Range rover in the back at an affordable price
Comparing the Corair to a top trim Escape versus an Aviator to a top trim Explorer, it appears the latter is a considerably better value proposition. Using the "Build and Price" websites for each vehicle, a top trim, fully loaded Escape runs about $40K (MSRP). A moderately optioned Corsair comes in at more than $56K. In contrast, a fully loaded top trim Explorer (e.g. ST plus options, Titanium trim) pushes or exceeds $60K compared to about $65K for a moderately optioned (Reserve trim) Aviator. The price premiums amount to about $16,000 (Escape vs Corsair) versus $5k (Explorer versus Aviator.) Of course, these difference are based on MSRP figures rather than real world pricing negotiated with a dealer. And the "value" proposition depends on what a consumer is willing or able to pay as well as a consumer's priorities. But the bottom line appear to be that an Aviator is a much better buy than a loaded Explorer while it's difficult to make the same argument for the Corsair versus the Escape. And considering the far better specs of the Aviator versus the Escape, a price premium of $9-$10K for the Aviator versus the Corsair looks worth the extra money.
Lincoln should have paid him to do the commercial for far less.
Great presentation!!!!
Somebody's high. Rectoliniar ? It's better than what again,,and the seats move 24 ways-does one include into a real name brand?
Should have been wearing a pirate outfit you already got the hair ☠
LINCOLN WHERE EVERYTHING LIKE A BMW IS AN OPTION. VERY NICE VEHICLE BUT THE PRICE IS WAY TO HIGH ! 50K IS STILL WAY TO EXPENSIVE.WAIT UNTIL MID 2021 AND THE PRICE WILL BE 35% LESS . THESE ARE SITTING ON LOTS ALL OVER AMERICA
I’m laughing at the foot tuck in the storytelling
Who is this hippie telling me about my new car
Dull design on the front end. Outside temp on the heads-up display? That's so stupid it makes me angry. And the price is simply ridiculous. Save $15K and get a Telluride with every option and a third row.

For starters Lincolns are nothing but overpriced Fords. Now they go and steal the Corsair name from Chevrolet. Corsair was a rear engine model car from Chevrolet back in the 50s and 60s. My entire family works for the Buffalo NY plant and tried to get me to take a job there. Their theiving ways is one of several reasons I would never work or own a Lincoln or Ford. I'll stick with my Dodges and Jeeps. They're both better than Fords or Lincolns.
Hahahahahahahaha

Well for the most part the update grill helped improved the front end of the MKC
Stick with a toyota/lexus
Such poor build quality. So many problems. Price is insanely high for something not perfectly executed

Why would you make such a foolish comment....there is no perfectly executed vehicle. And BTW, the wife has owned her Corsair going on 1 year...NOT ONE SINGLE PROBLEM and the build quality is on par if not better than Audi and BMW, both of which she passed on to get the Corsair.
You’re not the best. Brush up watching Alex on Auto’s or maybe savage geese. Not engaging at all.

It is all style. Some will like it, some will not. He doesn't yell, shout, wave his arms, (like a Scotty Kilmer), use hyperbole, or clever vulgarity (like savagegeese). Everyone is different
How do seats move in 24 different ways? 😂
