The two genius features (in my opinion) are: 1) the blind spot cameras that come on when you use the turn signals - because they will get folks to USE THEIR TURN SIGNALS, 2) the low mounted headlights, so they don't blind the drivers in front at night, like trucks and suv's do now because their headlights are mounted at the top, making them shine directly into the cabin of sedans. Great job, Hyundai!

That turn signal feature is amazing because it solves two problems, an annoying blind spot and it makes the drivers safer at driving.

It’s astonishing! I used to hate Hyundai and considered them to be subpar, bellow every other East Asian manufacturer. Three years ago I would never have even considered getting one. But they’ve completely redesigned all of their models, adding great features that are not so commonly found in other vehicles of the same caliber and I am absolutely ready to take back any prejudices that I had about Hyundai. They’ve done a stellar job remaking themselves and I would actually consider getting one the next time I’m looking for a car.

I mean they are hiring designers that designed some good European cars, one of them is Sangyup lee (might have spelled that wrong). He designed the 5th gen Chevy Camaro, and the Bentley bentayga. He designed the genesis gv80 and that’s why the bentayga and gv80 look similar.

Juan Carlos Hermosillo I agree, and my point was that in America there’s also lots of dense city areas (like where I am) that make it very difficult to accommodate a vehicle of that size. I have a 2017 Hyundai Tucson. I went with the Tucson because I wanted AWD. It has been one of the biggest mistakes. The first was getting a Hyundai. They don’t care about their consumers. My car has been blowing headlights- having electrical issues (my auto windows go back down when you roll them up, my rear windshield wipers go off whenever they want, my break light seems to go on and off at random. I have reached out because as a company they should only want the best products out there. I was told that “because my car is over 3 years old. There is nothing they can do for me. To bring it to a dealer and “see what I can get” for it. I owe more than it’s worth because one thing they don’t tell you when you buy a Hyundai is they depreciate way faster than you can make payments to survive. DO NOT BUY A HYUNDAI.

I think that the bad design remark was about the dial not stopping when it's in the first or in the last position. As for the ability to select the drive mode without looking - it's nice, but you have the current mode shown on the screen so it's not necessary.

We just made a 5 hour drive to get our 2020 Hyundai Palisade Limited all-wheel-drive just as we would have ordered it, if it were possible. During my research over the past month or so, I have seen that the Limited Edition is in high demand. All wheel drive even more so. I have checked dealers from South Carolina all the way to Pennsylvania and found that they sell these vehicles, in the Limited trim, just as fast as they arrive on the lot. We were very fortunate to be able to snag one with all of our specifications. We just purchased the 2020 limited in All wheel Drive with graphite exterior and beige interior. Loaded with every option and then some dealer add-ons. If we would have missed this opportunity we were looking at up to a three month or more wait for the exact vehicle we wanted. In the time that we have owned ours, it has been as impressive as my 2018 Mercedes-Benz, which we purchased new! We were within hours of buying a brand new Audi Q7 Quattro, then we took a pause and looked at the Hyundai and for the money we are pleased with our purchase.

I just traded my 15 Genesis 3.8awd sedan for a 2021 Palisade. I love it. I have more room, it has a great ride, pretty decent mpg. I keep the selector on eco as I commute around 130 miles a day. I have noticed in sport mode that not only are the shift points different, but the suspension tightens up a bit, as does the steering.

All I’ve ever have to replace is the typical rotors and batteries and once, a fan belt, literally. Definitely going to buy this one when my 2012 Santa Fee wears out (probably be a few years before that happens, though) lol!

Hey Doug, thanks for all the great reviews, they are way more comprehensive than Top Gear ever was! Recently I've been using them to narrow down my options for a new 3 row SUV, however I noticed that your Doug Score (awesome idea btw) may be missing a critical metric for SUV's that I think may be worth adding. Namely, "Versitility". A lot of 3-row SUV owners are looking for a vehicle that can seat like a van, but can handle snow, dirt, potholes, etc. I realize that your "practicality" metric may partially cover this, but i don't think it really means the same thing to everyone. For example, a van and a 3-row SUV are equally "practical" in 99% of all situations, but they are definitely not equally "versitile". Anyway, its just a suggestion. Please consider adding this metric, and thanks again for all your hard work.

I’m in love with the palisade. A few things he forgot to mention is the second row seats are heated AND cooled, plus you don’t have to awkwardly swing your foot under the car to open the hatch, you simply just stand at the back of the car and it’ll sense the key fob and open by itself after a few seconds. He also didn’t mention the interior accent lighting. You can change the color of it and everything. Nice touch. I’m buying the top of the line calligraphy trim in a few weeks!!
