The Military Blue 4s were my first pair of Jordan's, back in 89. Can't wait for those to release, with the Nike Air on the back.

I am going to try hard to get these, had the OG's in 89 when I was 11. Looks like a pretty good retro, cant wait for the main release.

Thanks for another comparison, love these. I'm glad you mentioned sizing. I was able to get a size 12 from the shock drop, after my normal size 12.5 sold out. I was afraid these wouldn't fit, but they do! For AJ 3s and 4s, I normally have to go up to a size 12.5, so I was pleasantly surprised about being able to wear a 12.

Can’t wait till the 28th! I’m tight I missed the shock drop, so I definitely gotta scoop these up to add to my 4 OG colorway collection! Let’s hope Nike and JB bring back the Military Blue 4 OGs in 2021

I managed to get them early, when i was in middle school back when the 2012 version came out every kid had em exept me. Now older i managed to cop the 2020 release.

Great review, wish you would have also pointed out the OG detail of rolled back leather on the tongue. So glad the went back to that OG detail. (Done on the 3's too)

It's crazy how the Fire Red 4s released the same month & year I was born. November 1989

Back in the days, I can still remember that I truly play basketball in 12s, 13s and 14s. It is a shock for me when Mj says that his feet soak in blood. In fact, I had my moment when my pinky toe was soak in blood too, and I did not feel the pain at all until the game is over, I guess when you are really focus in the game, there is no time to feel pain, you just keep ruing on the court back and forth. This J 4s is the best color-way simply because i saw a photo of R.Allen wearing it, in my opinion, he wore this color-way better that MJ.

@mjo23dan In the Jordan 5 comparison video you mentioned that the midsole on these was softer, I was hoping you would expound on it here.

If you google open cell and closed cell polyurethane foams, you get an example of what I mean. Many of the midsoles leading up to the mid 2000s were open cell foams which allowed air and the elements into the foam which created a softer ride. The downside of that was that because of these open cell pockets, the elements broke down the material faster causing cracking and deterioration. Closed cell foams are more dense and thus last longer but downside to that is uncomfortability and paint adherence. That’s basically it in a nutshell. Hope that helps.

So glad we didn’t get trash leather. Hope I can double up!!

The OG heel tabs were a killer without higher socks, the latest ones though being thinner I wear low cut socks all the time and barely notice the heel tabs poking me, about the only benefit in the new ones being thinner.

Got the shoes from the shock drop, finally got a win for once.

I wish they had the fat heel tab on the newer OG releases.

I was under the impression they were gonna fix the silhouette to look more OG and make it more of a midtop like the original by raising the sidestraps etc...

Now They Gotta Release The Military Blue IV With The Nike Air On The Back It’s Only 1 OG Colorway In IV Left At First White Cement 2016 Black Cement 2019 Now Fire Red 2020

No sir. My pair came out exquisite. I’d love to share the dates of production with him but there was definitely some craftsmanship issues with several pairs people have shared with me. I got lucky.

The stitching under the wing should reach the heel tab..

Nice Video.. Question where did you get your O'G Air Jordan 4 wrapped up @??... I didn't get these 4's knowing i might regrettably be hitting my head later..😒. But because of the O'G 4 Breds.. It hurts my pinky toe..😖 so I passed on these I'm older now so I only go for Jordans that's comfortable..✌

They changed up the box from recent AJ4’s? Different air hole

A lot of KZread reviews say their shock drop pair seemed B grade with the left shoe. Almost like they were trying to sneak out some janky pairs that didn't pass Quality Control 🤔 Hopefully the regular release date pairs will be identical to each other left and right side in better quality

My pair came with slight hits of red paint on the flight patch and i think yours did to, is that meant to be there? Did the OGs have that? I wasnt born yet lol in 1989 ...

It’s just the thread backing of the patch. I don’t think it was deliberate.

These Insoles are the same material as the ones that came with the fire red denim 3s, imo it feels a little more cushy

Actually the cements were the first color way in 1989

I'm "Video Like" number 666 haha! Copped these at retail from JB Manila in 2020, now they're double priced here. Should've doubled down ha!

Quality control on these was not great, my right shoe was fine to an extent, the left looks like it was thrown through the ringer. Doesn't sit flat and the toebox is mangled. Hoping I get a better pair on the 28th.

Yeah I got lucky. I would suggest checking pairs beforehand and select the better version if you have an opportunity to checkout in store.

Got them but I'm so disappointed. The left shoe has a different shape, the stitching on the side panel is higher than the right and the backheel stitching is lower than the right. Paying 200+ for this kind of issues is unaceptable. Did anybody had the same problem?

How come your 2016 spike lee edition are still mint?

I went TTS. The 4s from last year seem to have been built different which had me go a half size up. This shoe is good TTS

You got to remember when they first made Jordan shoes it was for basketball 🏀 strictly basketball now in today’s world Jordan sneakers isn’t made for basketball 🏀 anymore so they didnt need to make it durable so they went cheap on certain parts of the shoes to cut down cost. Jordan sneakers is more of a fashion than a basketball shoe
