Sorry, Doug. A fully loaded semi trailer, that is minus the tractor weighs in the neighborhood of 60,000-65,000 LBS. The load alone can weigh upwards of 47,000 LBS.

Fully loaded semi can legally weight 80,000. It can be loaded more with special permits with extra sets of axles. Average semi bobtail weight around 20,000 and average semi dry van trailer weight 12,000. So you can haul up to neighborhood of 48,000 pay load. Which makes it 60,000 of towing capacity. But average semi makes 475hp with 1600 torque. Overall damn it’s amazing pick up truck can pull 35,000.

I don't think i've ever been so excited about a center console before

Surprised by the fun factor of 1. It's actually quite a fun vehicle to drive due to having such a commanding view of everything and an interior pretty much on par with some luxury cars. Definitely gives you a king of the road feeling. Also, they're pretty quick considering it weighs almost 8000 lbs.

The paper clip symbol means you use that clip as a paper clip so you can hold documents in your visor. Not to hold paper clips

Doug, you missed the coolest quirk...the headlights pivot when turning. Not unusual on a high end car...but pretty unique for a 3/4 ton truck.

Doug's the kind of guy who has been looking far and wide for a vehicle that can finally store all his paper clips.

I imagine another reason to not have physical buttons for heated seats/wheel would be so you don't have blank switches on the models that don't have it. That would be a good reason to integrate luxury features into the screen.

The 45k version tows just as well as the 80k. 80k is just more comfy and fancy. So what. Be glad the economy is strong enough people can afford the 80k truck!

@@crazyhass84 Lol hardly anyone is dropping 85k on a truck. 5 years ago the msrp price of the best dodge ram *3500* Longhorn edition was 54k. How is the economy doing really great if the price of a new truck went up almost 30% in four years?

For anyone wondering about the newest Ram's fuel economy, it's not bad. If you baby the engine, you can squeeze about 18 highway out of it. I've heard people putting aftermarket fuel parts in their truck and they can get 25 highway out of it, exceptional fuel economy for a big pickup.

Drink every time Doug says absolutely.

probs $13K off when you buy one. even so, that's a lot of money. I have a '16 longhorn laramie (one level below limited) with the regular hemi. I took $13K off when i bought it. The only feature I wish it had that it doesn't is the air suspension. I got one with the Ram Box storage boxes and i love them.

There is a difference between BMW, Rollys Royce and trucks, BMWs etc they are meant to be a luxury symbol hence attention to detail is expected and prices can be justified you don't expect this from a truck whose main purpose is just function neverthless it doesn't hurt, if a company pays attention to detail for a vehicle if it doesn't come at an extra cost
