As a lefty I found funny what you say about the tombow dual pen. By far it was the most difficult to control for me. I find Lyra or edding 1340 easier. Edding is kind of a medium size and I don't know if it's 'findable' 😉 in America. In terms of small tips I love pentel touch a lot. I love your videos a lot too!

Hi Becca, and Happy New Year! During one of your journaling video some time ago, you mentioned your favorite pen. It was a roller ball, very small point/ nib, and either came in a 10 pack from Amazon or a specialty stationary store online. I could really use your brain drain on this one….I can’t remember anything about the mm size; it was black, wrote very thin, and at the time was your fav. If you have a new fave, I’m all in….I just need a thin, super black rollover ball for my journal. Thanks Becca, and keep feeding us your talent….I love it ✌🏻💯🥰

Is therer a brush pen that you can use on regular paper? I have rhodia paper but i also have other paper from other notebooks and other calligraphy pads. Is there a brush pen that i can use that wont get fray on the other paper? Would a hard tip suffice? Ive already ruined a brush pen on a journal (i didn't know any better).

Great demo for those pens, i use both and i am a lefty.

I actually found the fudenosuke pens (softer and harder) very difficult to get used to. The Tombow worked much better for me in earlier days. Now (about 5 months in) I prefer the Pentel Touch small pens. Their softer flexibility is much easier for me than the fudes. It does get down to personal preference, doesn't it. At 78, the softer pens may work better for my weaker fingers.

I started out using the tombow hard tip, and it was by far the easiest to learn with. The soft tip was super difficult for me, but now the softer tips are way easier for me (and my writing is the worst with the hard tip). I love the pentel touch too!

Is the Fude pen a soft or hard tip. Maybe they didn’t have this choic when you made this video. Amazon carries both. Ty!

Can beginners use camlin brush pens??

Any recommendations for environmentally conscious folks w.r.t refillable brush pens. I am currently using pentel brush pen as of now - it takes fountain pen inks and I don't have to dip continually. Any other other recommendations?

I’m sad because I buy only the brush pen (the bigger one) ordered online but I was planning to use it for bullet journal 🤦🏻‍♀️ and it’s too big. And somehow it’s hard for my heart to hear those squick when writting I don’t know why it irritates me. But I’m willing to learn calligraphy.

Hi Cheryl, if you are going to take drills course best start out with a black Fudenosuke one until you get used to it, there will be a time when you can use colours but saying that if that is the only colours you can get then go for it and have fun.

The blue is a harder, firmer one, the green is softer. Becca recommends the blue. I use it and it’s fantastic.

So this depends on if you mean the package of the square on the pen itself. The square on the pen itself is green for the hard tip and blue for the soft tip, but I believe the packaging is actually reversed.
