Stop saying he overpaid. People who have not bought any used cars in the past 2 months have no idea. I listed my 2012 Mazda5 (KBB trade-in $7100) for sale, found a local buyer wiling to pay $8500, then backed out, I ended up selling it to CarMax the next day for $9000. 2 weeks later, car was listed for $12997 at a local dealer website and within less than 5 days, it was gone.

Those GM 305’s are pretty much bulletproof. I remember I purchased a 1979 Chevy Camaro and it had a 305 in it, and I had a 383 already to be installed in it, and I got the car home. For shits and giggles I tried to blow it up by pinning the pedal to the floor for 4 minutes straight and the engine revved until the valves started to float. Long story short, it didn’t blow, and I ended up building that engine up too.

Nice shape for an old truck. I'd probably get the front seat re-upholstered, tint the windows, take the black rubber side trim off, and do a 3" lift and an aftermarket exhaust and it would be perfect. I love these GMT-400 OBS Chevy and GMC trucks.

One annoying lying sales guy. Everything is typical. How about the missing under hood insulation. Could it be that the big black stain under the hood is typical. Sales people yap yap yap. This is a distraction to keep you from inspecting the vehicle yourself. Take it to a certified mechanic to check it out thoroughly. Never believe a lying salesman. Spend a half hour inspecting the underneath of the truck. Check everything out. Get earplugs if you have to.

    - I find it so interesting how people are so willing to give other people’s money away. The channel is a business. They are here to make money, not operate as a non-profit. Give your head a shake. They do charity events with vehicles. If you are not a regular watcher, go back to “Baby Yota”. They can’t give every truck away,,,,,,,. If you don’t know the whole picture, be careful what you make for a comment. As this channel has grown, so have their charitable give aways. They are actually quite generous. Maybe you could go start your own channel and give away everything it acquires. See how long the money is there to do ANY charity. First manage your own money very well, then if you have enough, give some away. Feel good about yourself at that point, move along. If you are a small business giving away 15% of your profits to charity as you somewhat are asking these guys to do, then speak up, compare your numbers and make a comment. None of us know how much money TFL makes, but those of us that have been watching over the years know they have only recently been able to buy just as much as they currently do. Every business has to grow. They, TFL, re-invest heavily into the company to keep an interesting product going out to the viewers. They also rely themselves on donations (to a degree) from Patreon. I think TFL are balancing the charities vs for profit sales very well!

@@savoirfaire5460 - Whattttt??? Same as me responding you, others may have something to say. It’s the risk everyone takes that leaves a comment. You take care of your money and they will take care of theirs. I do the same about it myself. I have been successful and often get comments like yours directed my way. It falls into the “Nunya” category. Nunya d*mn business! Later.
