Nice review! Thanks! Try DeReverb from Waves to get rid of the room reflections indoor in non treated rooms with just one knob. I'm not kidding. You'll be surprised how noticeable your signal gets improved (There's a free trial version. I'm not working for Waves). I'm just looking around for a portable alternative for my shotgun mic. The MKE400 might be an option. About these battery laws in Ireland: so you cant send something like a Smartphone back because the battery is integrated? Or did I get that wrong? That's madness lol

Thanks, for the sake of video and someone wanting to hear the "raw" sound, I've decided not to process it. I'm happy with my own post-processing workflow, however, I will give deReverb plugin a shot and see what it does...possibly make a video if I get some good results. Thanks for recommendation.

@@howtodostuff. Sorry just watched this one video and wanted to share the good results I got from combining DeReverb with shotgun mics.

I like the idea of a strong build so it doesn't break that easily when carrying it around.

Agreed, I broke one of Rode's shake absorption plastics while it was in a backpack. This one cannot break that easily.

Sorry for late reply. Firstly, congrats on your purchase. I really enjoy using this mic and I hope you get a great quality sound out of it. To answer your question: I use Sony A7IV and because the camera's amps are not as good as the mics, I tend to bump up the mic strength/sensitivity by setting it on '+', in camera I lower the mic level based on the volume graph; I want the loudest sound to be hitting -12dB to -10dB. This adjustment will happen everytime I change the scene/location/event. Hope it helps.
