Glad to see you back! Love the mix of content between the truck, bike, and following the other channel!

Happy for the short break, but glad to be back at it. Thanks for the kind words and the follow!
Im palning on helping a dear friend work on his bike. 1982 750 i looked at the sticker but thats all it said. Great tip for the carbs, thats about as much as they charge to clean the 4 carbs on there now. Ive never worked on a bike b4 so we will take it easy. Cant wait to see it running😇😁😇

You got this! These old bikes can be frustrating, but rewarding too. Mine will be back soon.
Good stuff! Can't help you on the bike, but you will get there
Ive got an 81 750 with the same carbs. Ive come to learn that when the throttle is hanging like that its due to an air leak. Check your boots. I bought new oem boots and over tightened them. The engies get hot and if you tighten the clamps on the head side after its had a few heat cycles it will tear the boots under the clamps. OEM boots are to expensive to do that again.... Anyways check your boots. Spray some starting fluid on them when its running to confirm. 👍

That is excellent advice. I'll be sure to give that a try the next chance I get.
The bike is coming along! I know you are getting anxious about finishing it with the weather getting beautiful and prime time for riding. My suggestion while you are getting it going is to look at some KZreadrs with motorcycle training channels. Robert Simmons, Jerry Palladino, MC Rider are all good sources of information as you ease back into it. I Wish I lived closer to you than DC (I'm NEVER moving back to the corrupt People's Republic of New Jersey) LOL I'd work with you on getting your "sea legs" back on riding a bike. I was trained to ride 25 years ago as a police motor officer down here in DC. Currently, I'm riding a 2007 Yamaha Royal Star tour deluxe touring cruiser which I love. If you go on Robert's channel and check out his Maryland practice sessions, you'll see me riding it. Robert is a retired NYPD motor officer.

It sure is! I've been watching videos from a bunch of channels and have come across some of your suggestions. Once again, your opinion is valued my friend. One of these days we'll have to meet up and go for a ride.
I have a 82 650 nighthawk and I’m having the exact same issue with the idle, did you ever get this worked out, and how?
I'm curious, what amount of dealer support you've gotten while you pursue this project?

None really. I have ordered a few Genuine Honda parts in the past, but many are just not available any longer because of the age of the motorcycle. Likely I've been able to find everything I've needed so far either OEM or aftermarket.
