The 150 Essential AMIGA Games
Ойындар
Here's the 150 games that are essential for all those that never messed around with an Amiga system from Commodore and are curious to know which ones are really worth playing. This will also be a good starting point to build up your private physical collection of Amiga games or, why not, to experience on your own A500 mini that is just around the corner.

Amiga 1000 was the first!
This video is great for a number a reasons. 1. It's succinct. 2. It shows all games at multiple points within each one, rather than just the first level. 3. It's super crisp with excellent colour representation. 4. Incredible choice of games. 5. It would have taken a HUGE amount of work. 6. It's the f@#king AMIGA! ❤ Beautiful job!

As an American who grew up with Genesis and Snes etc. I was never really exposed to to the Amiga. But I always wondered what are some good games for it. I definitely agree, I'm only 40 minutes in and I have seen plenty of good things.

@@Scorpiove I had mates back in the day who had MegaDrive/Genesis and SNES machines while I had the Amiga, it was a case of trying out games on all the systems but for me the Amiga was the true love when it came to gaming. Although the MegaDrive and the SNES were phenomenal machines in their own right. So although I was kind of an Amiga purist I can also fully appreciate the Consoles as you've appreciated the Amiga in your comment. We are both as were many others of our time period kindred spirits regardless ✊👍

This has to be the best compilation of Amiga games I've seen by now. I can tell that making this video must have taken an extended period of time, because having good quality games from the Amiga era listed with adequate amounts of gameplay from each game combined must have been very time consuming. The end result then making this the best video compilation of the Amiga magic I have ever seen to this day.

A surprising number of awesome looking games that I haven't seen before! Refreshing to see a list like this that isn't just a regurgitation of everyone else's "Top X Amiga Games" list - I can tell these were actually a mixture of games you know and love; good, bad and otherwise. Thank you for giving me at least a dozen new titles to try (and maybe 20 new tracks to add to my Amiga music playlist) :)

Agreed, and not just a clip of the first level etc. too
Those pinball games, pinball dreams (my fave), pinball fantasies, and pinball illusions were unique and great fun to play on the Amiga. The artwork and graphics of those games stand out for me, of so many games that came out on that machine these for me stood out because of the level of detail put into the design of these. Iconic games.
Great video! Thanks for putting the time and effort into making this. Leaves me with many great memories of gaming on the Amiga back in the day :)
A very interesting selection and a few games in there that I didn't even know existed. Thank you for putting that compilation together.
Thank you for compiling this wonderful list. It must have taken you so long, and we really appreciate it. Spent hours playing many of these games, plus others such as Battle Chess, Gloom Deluxe, Rocket Ranger, Slam Tilt (fantastic pinball game)! Never played Vroom, so downloading it now!
Love that you showed more than just a little of the first level of the games as most do, but actually took the time to show later stages. Great video.
Incredible collection. Some of these games I haven't seen before and others made me a slight smile remembering them. Thanks, Pixel thing.

Thank you and it was nice to see decent amount of gameplay of each. There's so many similar videos that cover so little that you barely get idea of genre of the game. Man at the near end that Turrican 2 soundtrack. It hits me every single time. So good action platformer soundtrack, dare I even say _the_ best Amiga soundtrack ever.
One fun fact is that in most of the videos you find on KZread showcasing the Amiga version of Lemmings, there's an error on disk 2, hence the scratchy instruments in the music of the second level on the lowest difficulty. The very same scratchy noise can also be heard on other stages of Lemmings using the "corrupted" copy of disk 2.
Great compilation, brings back so much good old memories, thank you!
What a varied and amazing list. Some I really need to revisit sometime soon! :)
Amazing video. I'm kind of surprised how there are so many ive not heard of before. :O I love how you didn't frontload it with all the big hitters so there are still obvious titles near the end, just makes it clear how many great games there were.
Wonderful that you uploaded hi-res gameplay, let the games speak for themselves, and gave ample time to appreciate the gameplay!

Really good list. We could all very easily come up with our lists I'm sure and have differences but this one really does show off the Amiga and the wide assortement of games it can do. But I do want to say thank you for putting Woody's World on the list. I think it and Harlequin (which sadly didn't make your list) are both very under-rated platformers on the Mig.
Thanks for the video. I am enjoying it a lot!
Thank you for another amazing video of the Amiga system! I wish i had more time to play all those games, and some more on the same machine: Eye of the Beholder I and II, Fate: Gates of Dawn, Perihelion, Hired Guns, Lotus III: The Ultimate Challenge, Captive, Starflight 1 & 2, Heart of China, Rise of the Dragon, The Duel: Test Drive II, Dungeon Master, Frontier: Elite II, Cool Spot, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, Jungle Strike, Kick Off 2, Goal, Seek and Destroy, Sid Meier's Pirates! Man, there is so many more great games...

Amiga was the first computer to really bring forward the use of a mouse on a computer. One thing I'm missing in all these Amiga games review is to know if it was a mouse game or joystick game. Amiga was the pioneer of so many great mouse games: Ports of Call, Sim City, Cannon Fodder, Defender of the Crown, Lemmings, Secret of Monkey Island, Lost Patrol, Warlords, etc. And, those were the games I loved the most.
Fab list well done putting this together. There were 2 indies that were awesome two player games. Masterblaster and Extreme Violence. Brutal Sports Football also another classic.
Grande lista de jogos . Adorei recordar alguns deles , só foi pena ter-te esquecido de pelo menos dois dos melhores jogos do AMIGA .) - Zeewolf 2 - Slam Tilt Fica para um próximo vídeo Obrigado

Both of Earl Weaver Baseball (and commish/manager expansion) and WGH 1 and 2 and Hockey League simulator were indeed awesome. Truth is though, both of these are geared towards North American audiences and therefore don’t have the exposure to our European cousins. That said, I so agree on these two titles, they were incredible and are in the top ten most played Amiga games for me, along with every single Cinemaware release (except for Sinbad, just couldn’t get into that one lol)
Worthy at 2:28:32 is new to me. The pixel art is really lovely and I like the smaller well animated sprites a lot. Looking it up, I see it's only from a few years ago, so no wonder I didn't know about it back in the day!

The standout for me on the Amiga is the blitter and that buttery smooth scrolling - coming from the previous 8-bit machines this was a big thing BITD. I remember a few of the titles, Gods, Alien Breed, R-Type, Turrican etc. The memories I cherish though are the productivity applications, DPaint, Impulse's Imagine, Real3d, Sculpt and for music Noise Tracker and Pro Tracker. Like others I know, the Amiga lead to a career in 3D modeling and animation e.g. working in Newtek's Lightwave.
The Amiga had the most mighty and unique sound of all computers and consoles back then. It almost overpowers the whole experience ;)

Great video. When the 16 bit consoles came out, it was either pay £40/£50 for a console game, or buy the £500 Amiga or Atatri ST where the games were £10-£30 cheaper.

ST games were only £5 cheaper at best on the full price of 19.99 or 24.95, Amiga was usually £5 more but alot were the same.

My favourite - Rick Dangerous part 1 and 2. Speedball 2, Turrican 2, Fury on a Furies, Sensible Soccer, Cannon Fodder, Settlers and finally - Hired Guns! No idea if all were there... Hired Guns was first FPS in my life played with friends.

Glad to see a Fury of the Furries fan besides me ;)
This is one to watch in slices 😁
Thanks for Pegasus, I did'nt know this game and it looks excellent. And again thanks for "exotic" games like Hostages (I had Alcatraz in the same kind) and Persian Golf Inferno

My pleasure 😀 have fun!
One game you forgot to mention, Street Rod 1 & 2! I used to play the hell out of those games on my Commodore Amiga, fixin up my own cars takin them out for spins! Had a lot of my friends over in awe bc i had a gaming rig lol Even if it was released in 85, the same year as i was born, the system had a really long lifetime.

@@itsaPIXELthing Yup, thats my whole life story, oh and i broke my leg at junior high 😂
Holy cow. These games were even better than any gsmes I played on Windows 3.1
This list is amazing, most I have heard of or seen in action but games like oneeacapee I never heard of and now wanna try! What good games have been left out, I loved wild cup soccer as a kid but it's a bit too simplistic a game I think now. Love Rick Dangerous! Missing a dizzy game I think
Bellissimo video, un bel salto nel passato però manca il mio gioco preferito. Logical!

When amiga really wanted to make a great game ,it could rival the megadrive and snes any day
There was a rather good Amiga game that I used to play in my youth. One of the last games that I bought for Amiga, and thanks to this video, I now know the name: Woody's World. Cheers! To be brutally honest, I think by far most of the Amiga games that I've ever played weren't good even back then. But there are certainly some gems too. I remember that when we finally got our first PC, it was hard to find any decent games for it so Amiga held its ground for a year or two as the main gaming device. Did I see Space Crusade on this video? I don't think I did. Definitely one of the best Amiga games that I've played.
