When I visit mangalore next time, I will definitely visit this iconic place.
Some Mangloreans in Bombay are selling fish and chicken cooked in yesterday's saaru ghassi. Which has fermented nicely in hot humid Bombay weather. Sometimes you can see the cars of the rich and famous parked outside the hotel, ac on, as the occupant gulps down the delicious fish and chicken cooked in ghassi! 3 cheers for our hard working and smart South Kanara entrepreneurs who will survive and prosper everywhere. A salute.

One of the best home made foods. Especially for fish curry/fry rice. Moderate price. Used to go there during my college days in the early seventies. Still visit there whenever in native place.

Just as advertised.. we ate at this hotel just before Christmas… amazing quality… the Bangade (curry) was so fresh.. we also had bangade and tharle fry… the guy serving the food had so much energy and he genuinely welcomed everyone..it felt so nice! Thank You!!

There is a similar hotel in mangalore...which is about 60 years old...it's near mangaladevi temple in monkey stand....do visit the hotel..it's a hidden gem.

The video and the cinematography is superb. But I would have loved it better, if the subtitles for languages other than English were added..
Is there any way you can tell us what specific track you’re using as bg music at 2.22? I know it’s raghuvamsa sudha on saxophone (possibly by Kadri Gopalnath, not 100% sure) but I’m not able to find this exact sound/track anywhere. Please respond so that I don’t go insane. I’ve been looking for it since weeks now since I first heard it on this video! (please!)

Our people back in Hospet were very adamant about returning back without overnight stay at Mangalore.I dont know why.
costly hotel .... Poor service... Selfish people.... Collect the amount before meals, usually in fish hotels amount will be collected after meals
