I think in some aspects, she lost her mind and when others have done what she has and worse, they are still all functioning like normal people. Which isn't normal, so in a way Octavia is the only one with real guilt. She went crazy for doing what she did, Clarke didn't blink an eye.

But now it is ending ....& there will be prequels but i will miss oc the most

Clarke cries all the time, Octavia can't cause then she'll seem weak because of the grounders. You can't really deny that Octavia is the best one on the whole show, to handle her emotions

Ch d and the fact Ocatvia used 6 years on the bunker to not let people have a choice or let them watch there loved ones get slaughtered in battle and let them eat them is beyond disturbing for me, i think i rather die than eating my friends or my sister lmao and right efter all these terryfing years, the " 400" people she saved had to die in battle because of her stupid deciscion she made up, burning Montys farm that saved Bellamy Indra from killing each other that making Monty again a hero, 😂

I love how she went from the girl under the floor to this complex and badass character. One of the best characters by far

I think both Octavia and Clarke have a lot in common, their both fighting for the survival of the human race. However Octavia has less support from others and she never apologises for her actions like Clarke does. And the few people that Octavia does care about she’s lost or they despise her. Octavia has come to terms that everyone despises her while Clarke always begs for forgiveness

As crazy as her method is, she did it all for them, all of her for all of them, but what she got? Cursed, beaten, banished, hated and still she tries to save them, sacrifice herself again and again for them. They don't deserved Octavia Blake, if the anomaly treated her right she better stays there. Watched her got shit on over and over is heartbreaking. Btw, beautifully edited as usual.

@@lucile4230 she burned it because as she said in the s6 finale, if they didn't they life mean nothing. She promise and believe all along that getting them to the valley will wash their sin away. Eating people to survive because the plants failed once, why would she put her people through that trauma again, because it will happened at some point plus at that time she already broke and mentally unstable because she bore all the burden at the bunker so the other don't have to.

Clarke killed more people then Octavia in one season and honestly Clarke would’ve probably made the same decision and Octavia took all the guilt on herself so others wouldn’t Octavia makes harder decisions then Clarke or Bellamy and actually acts on them cause no matter what she is a warrior and now she has become better I want her to become a black blood and have anomaly power she will make the hard decisions and she never wanted to be leader she told them that but they forced her 8nto that decision abbey and Kane were in her ear telling her no matter what no one is innocent but abbey never seemed to take responsibility

Clarke was initially respectful of Wonkru and Octavia(Like she should be!) but then he starts planting doubts in her head which isn’t good for Clarke who is now a _mother_ who has to worry about her child being in the fray of every decision she makes.

I'm sorry but since day one Clarke has been making those hard impossible choices. And what she gets? hate from her people. I'm honestly so fucking tired of seeing Clarke and Octavia being blamed for fucking everything. If people didn't like the way they lead, they the should become the leaders. But oh wait they can't cause they don't want to have to make all those impossible choices that Clarke and Octavia make

I'm just gonna have a little rant: Octavia stepped up to be leader when she didn't want to. Most of the bad things she did she was tricked or forced into and she was just trying to do the best for her people. Many people banished her because of her crimes but how many people has Clarke killed? Octavia killed to save the masses and was willing to sacrifice people she cared about for it. Clarke saved her friends and sacrificed the masses. I understand Clarke's reasoning but Octavia worked with what she had. And she made mistakes just like everyone else of this f*cking show. People like Abby and Kane got away with so much by just saying things like, "First we survive, then we regain out humanity." No. They survived, then what? I know Abby became a druggie and Kane wasn't doing much for himself. Sure, they feel bad about it. They sacrificed so many things to save the people they loved and I get it. But constantly blaming Octavia for leading her people into a battle she was probably going win without much loss? People only died because Abby healed the prisoners and Kane and D. turned them in but are you kidding me? Abby later admitted that she sent the 100 to the ground just to save Clarke. How many times has this show seen mass death just because someone wanted to save one person? Octavia knew what had to be done. She was a monster. But why was she the only monster? (rant over, sorry I've just been feeling extreme hatred lately)

In my opinion, the only difference between Octavia and everyone else was that she made no apologies for her actions. She did something and then she stood by that descion. She had no guidance. She had no help. When Abby told her the people HAVE to eat the human meat or they will die" did she or did she not get them to eat? She didn't want to kill her people over it. She was literally begging them to just take 1 bite. And then Abby backed off and let Octavia shoulder the whole burden of it. Everyone that said they would help Octavia always let her down or threw her under the bus. The ONLY thing she really did that was truly terrible was burn their farm. But she never tried to defend it by saying bs like "first we survive then we get our humanity back". She did it and she moved on. That's a true leader.

In the end, it's Octavia's desire to be Bellamy's sister that lets her kill Blodreina. It's her love for Bellamy that lets her break free of the fear that's bound her for so many years. It's love that saves Octavia, not fear. Love is not weakness, love is strength.

Mariana Borja Right? For all the preaching of “love is weakness” Titus would say to Lexa, how ironic it is that it was his love for her got her killed. He cherished her and he couldn’t face the possibility of losing her to the hands of her own people over the alliance. If Lexa had lived this whole show would be way different.

Octavia is the only one that had no choice. Clarke and Belamy killed and betrayed people while they had other choices . Octavia choosed to save everyone ,and when times were hard she choosed to play the monster so people blame her instead of their selfs . That's what made her insane. At least she was facing what she did. Clark, Belamy,Kane,Abbie ,they do horrible things but they always walk away like nothing happened .

Octavia built herself up. No one helped her, she killed people for her people, just like Clarke and Bellamy did, but everyone continued to love them while Octavia was lost, and clearly needed help after all that happened, she suffered and she always overcame it, alone. That's certainly the reason why she's my favorite character in any series: she didn't wait for someone to kill her, she let herself die, because she understood that nobody but herself believed in her. She's brave and remained worthy despite all she endured...

I really have no words! Your work is such a masterpiece! The way you showed us Octavia’s character development was absolutely beautiful! Good Job!

Octavia is definitely one of the best characters in the show. I always felt it was unfair how much her friends hated her. Octavia finally understood what Clark had to deal with, especially with Mt Weather and Lexa. The truth is, Octavia had two choices- sacrifice the few to save the many or let them all die (in the bunker). Sometimes there are no good choices, only the lesser of two evils. Even when Octavia killed the defectors, she had a point- Diyoza would have been suspicious just how Mt Weather would have been suspicious if Clarke and Lexa had evacuated the area before the bomb. In my opinion, Octavia did what was necessary. She had every reason to hate Echo, every reason for the fighting pits and even wanting to get to the valley. Considering Bellamy had made so many god awful choices particularly in season 1 & 3- his attitude towards her was completely hypocritical. It's real easy to point blame when you don't have to shoulder the responsibility. What Octavia did in the bunker was awful, but Madi said it best "She bore it, so they didn't have to."

So I’m reading the comments and I see a lot of people attacking Clarke to defend Octavia, like I get it, but facts speak from themselves you don’t need to attack another character: 1. Both of them have made the best decision they could possibly make to save their people, but they are treated like if they were the worst people in the world (Octavia's case a monster) afterwards, but yet all the people talking trash about them and attacking them have done worst things or equally as bad, the difference is that is more likely for the others to “forgive” (if you can say that) Clarke. 2. They have both being treated like trash for some decisions other people almost forced them to make or talked them into making (Raven forced Clarke into doing the list of the 100 that would survive and Bellamy wrote Clarke’s name, yet Clarke is the one that’s blamed by everybody, etc. Octavia was talked into cannibalism by Abby but somehow the only person that seems to remember that is Octavia) 3. Octavia has always done what’s best for the majority of the people not her closest ones 4. Octavia certainly developed a mental illness on her time in the bunker 5 Octavia was forced to be a leader even when she didn’t want to And finally THEY TRASH THEM AS LEADERS AND YET NOBODY ELSE STEPED UP AND DID IT

she's one of the most interesting characters. i love clarke but her actions are always guided by her wanting to 'save her people' which is good and all but a little evil won't do any harm. octavia's development from doing things for her people to being attached to power and becoming so monstrous to finding herself once again is such a strong character development

@@Kaoticreeper What Octavia did in the bunker is normal,in a way. The problem is that she started acting like the monster purposely, she took the responsibility so her people don't have to suffer, blaming her would made it more easy for them.. That's what change her and eventually she went crazy

this is probably the best evolution and video ever about a character from T100, after all these years I stand Octavia, I can not say the same for mostly of the rest of alive characters.... I am so done with the tv show, but Octavia gives me hope for next season. Brilliant edit, quotes and storyline, 9 minutes, this is not easy.

I am SO DONE with people taking the moral high ground with Octavia. She was seventeen - she was a fucking seventeen year old when they pushed her into leadership of Wonkru, even when she told them over and over that she wasn't a leader. It was Abby's idea to resort to cannibalism, her idea to make it a crime not to be one. She doesn't get to turn around and call Octavia a monster after forcing her to do those things. Kane, too. He sold her out - he sold them all out, and it resulted in the deaths of 400 people which were as much on him as they were on her. Indra stood back and watched and did nothing as Octavia fell apart day by day, making choices that nobody should ever have to make. Bellamy turned from her in disgust when he saw what she had become, as if he wasn't the cause of 300 deaths on the ark, as if he hadn't wiped out an entire army sent to help them because he was grieving Gina. And Clarke of all people should have understood what it was like to make choices like that, to bear it so others didn't have too. They made her into a monster and then ran from her, like they were any better. And still she fought for them. She fought for all of them, even when they turned their backs on her.

This is so beautiful. Octavia is my all time favorite character and I hate how she was treated. She was broken and lost and suddenly forced to become a leader. She did what it took to keep her people united and alive, sacrificing her own sanity for it. And I hate how everyone blamed her for what she became. Abby, Kane, Indra, Gaia, they all helped her become a “monster” and most of them didn’t even take the blame. Octavia went through so much, and deep down she always had a good heart, she was just broken

this is such an amazing video it genuinely captures octavia’s character arc from the beginning to end. she’s definitely had the best and most in depth character development on the show

I absolutely hate how everyone is so quick to judge Octavia for her actions. She's the reason anyone in the bunker survived at all. Yes, the way she approached it was messed up, but she was dealing with a group of people who all hated each other, and somehow got them to all follow her. Also, the way bellamy refused to forgive her for anything when that was all she needed to get her spirits back, and how he TOLD her that he wishes she was dead to an already unstable person was just so messed up. Even after Octavia forgave him for what he did during all of season 3 and for Lincoln's death. She deserves better than to be treated like shit for her mistakes, when Abbey, Clarke Kane, and bellamy constantly repeat the same actions and are automatically forgiven. I just hope she finds her peace in the final season (without dying) because she deserves better. Sorry, rant over.

Honestly they’ve all done terrible things to save people they love. It’s when they lose each other that they go off the rails and cross over from “unthinkable but had to be done” to “unthinkable and unnecessary”. Clarke and Bellamy and Octavia are all strong, and broken and brave and they make better choices when they have to look each other in the eye after.

things never would have gotten as bad if abby hadn't forced her into making decisions, jaha forcing her to be a leader, kane and abby betraying her at the first sight of it. when it came down to who got all the blame it was put on her even though not even half of it was her fault. she was a child when she was forced to lead. she was a child when she lost everyone she loved. she was a child when she won the conclave. how can a child be put through that and be expected to be alright after?

Really, alot of people who create monsters get to stay clean, and hide with the victims. Most people will never know what it's like to be the monster. To tame a beast and become that monster, in the process. To save people and have to take on another persona to survive. It's hard to watch this video but it is even harder to get out of a situation that makes you like that and walk on the path of redemption. I'm in the redemption phase and man, the things that make other people happy causes extreme anxiety, sadness, and anger for me. Holidays, Birthdays, promotions, I'm always looking for the next fight and at the same time trying to avoid it. Im just learning how to live without paranoia. I don't want to be that person anymore but its what got me to the next day and I can't drop what is extreme to some but common sense to me. It's hard to even walk out of the house. without doing a list of checks and balances, things that could happen... Idk what else to say that's just where I am at now. I have my own graduation tomorrow and I am up right now almost 1am, worrying because I invited my family, that's where the trauma started, and when I left that's when it ended. I've even made friends out here, I'm scared tomorrow will ruin all of that.

WOW, AWESOME, INCREDIBLE

Octavia is the best gift everyone in the 100 could have had. She had known hardship the moment she had been born. She knew even the rarest chance she got at survival and freedom was everything. She cared even for the people who had forced her life felt like a prison. She held the weight of everyone's sins, so they didn't have to. She still came back to help the people who had abandoned her. In the end, it was thanks to Octavia's action, all of the human race gets a chance at transcendence.

Amazing job, i can see you very like this character even if i don't, and can see that on the edit, you outdone yourself once again for this masterpiece, be proud!
