The funny irony it was over a bonus that pearson would receive for keeping them up. Watford thought they were safe and now end up losing hundred of millions over some small.bonus.

Yep. I mean, he kept Leicester up in 14/15 with seven wins in their last nine games (1D, 1L). And he once kept Carlisle from becoming non-league by virtue of a late goal from on-loan GK Jimmy Glass.

I am genuinely surprised Norwich City aren't on this list. I suppose the 92/93 and 93/94 seasons massively helped our PPG

My dad always told me that every team who are in first division are great teams and should be respected because they are struggling to stay in the league

I manage Salford city F.C. in Fm manager 2020 I have managed to bring them up to tier two to premier league in four seasons, atleast in the game they will get to see premier league but sadly might not in real anytime in the future.

I remember seeing Swindon play Southampton in about 1993, my school friend's father was a Swindon fan and this was one of the times they chalked up a rare victory.

This is an absolutely amazing list. Could EFD do the same for like La Liga? Maybe also do this for 10 Best Premier League teams?

Worth remembering supporters of all those teams had great times getting there, including multiple promotions in a few years. If there's a hangover after a wild party, so be it.

Wooo we’re finally 1st at something , that season was terrible we made terrible point and in our whole time in the premier league we never won a game after we went 1 goal down

So, first 3 big clubs and then 7 small clubs

I get why Derby is only 10th but hear me out... Put Derby first. Derby deserves to be first for that one season alone, forget all other seasons.

However being fair to Cardiff City bare in mind what happened to what was there biggest signing in the form of Sala. We will never know if his contribution would have made a difference, put it this way Sala scored more goals in the French League then Neymar, who is the world most expensive player.

Don't remember him being called "Jan Aage Frordtord"

If this list was based on individual seasons, Villa 15/16 would have to be up there. Watching that as a fan was borderline traumatic.

I am actually surprised by how you placed derby county at 10th, a team which only got 11 points and amassed a goal difference of -69 in 2007-2008 , it deserves to be in the first place of this list for that reason alone

As a Town fan and season ticket holder I can honestly say, we were dog shit that 2nd season.

I support Cambridge Utd and remember seeing them reach the Second Division playoffs back in 1991-92. I dread to think how they would have fared in the inaugural Premier League with John Beck's tactics. I think they would feature on this list.

Swindon Town the 1st & only side to concede 100 goals in a PL season. That's 2.38 GPG. I remember it well - they went into their last ever PL game with a GA of 95. Leeds U were way too strong, beating them 5:0. The player who scored the 100th goal against STFC that season was Chris Fairclough. And I remember commentator Peter Brackley saying, very optimistically, "Town will have learned a lot from this season - enough, hopes manager John Gorman, to ensure a quick return to the top flight." Let that sink in...

Blackpool has a better point average despite they just had one and only top flight experience (39 points from 38 matches) The safety line in 2010/11 of BPL was 40 points.
