Goddamn, “The Final-Final Test: Badge Marathon” was ruthless. I lost a lot of lives on that level. I eventually made it to the end (with all three 10-Flower Coins), but I ended up going through the level again due to having missed the top of the flagpole. Hey, _Mario_ devs. Dial it back next time, yeah?

If the level did not have checkpoints, it probably would have been the hardest level in Mario History.

3:39 It's actually easier to play 7-7 as small Mario, since you don't have to crouch to slide under anything. Though I never thought this level was that hard to begin with-- you just have to get to the next ? Block as quickly as possible. If you run the entire time, 7-7 is a piece of cake.

Surprised you picked 6-6 over 9-7 for New Super Mario Bros. Wii, because 6-6 isn't that bad when you use the Nunchuck to move Mario while using the Wii Remote to move the lights. 9-7, however, is riddled with Munchers and coins covered in ice as well as Fire Piranha Plants, and the Fire Flower can both hinder AND help you throughout the level.

Soda lake is easy. Any of the special world levels would have been a better choice from Super Mario World. In Super Mario Bros. 3 the world 8 airship is nowhere near as difficult as the level that comes right after that airship (8-1). 8-1 is crazy difficult. At least with the airship you can just simply P-Wing the whole level if you want to.

You can do that in any level, but World 8 airship is the hardest level in Mario Bros 3 because of how many jumps you have to do and the fact that it scrolls faster than the other airship levels in World 8. Plus, the platforms are tiny and you have those Rocky Wrenches to avoid which is why I think it’s the hardest. Although, when I recently replayed it, I actually got on my first try.

6:18 - 6:25 Not to mention the fact that it's underground, which further begs the question as to the clouds.

I KNEW THAT THE FINAL FINAL TEST BADGE MARATHON WOULD BE IN THERE! I WOULD'VE TOLERATE THIS LEVEL IF IT WASN'T FOR THAT GODDAMN SPRING FEET & THAT GODDAMN INVISIBILITY! FUCK THIS LEVEL WITHOUT USING YOSHI! IT'S ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE THROUGH NORMAL MEANS!

@@cjtheracer0113 That's correct. While it's level design were the best of recent platformers, Badge Marathon was sadly one of the few exceptions which I don't think I would tolerate without using Yoshi.

The final final test badge marathon is so frustrated i Almost broke my Switch.

Took me about 170 lives to beat it. Now I spend my time playing online and helping others make it to the finish line!

I would’ve also added the level tubular from super Mario world

Tubular is far worse than Soda Lake.

when i was a kid Super Mario World's Tubular gave me sooo much crap, took weeks to beat it, maybe finer motor skills not kicked in yet haha

That one level in super mario world in the special section where the stage names are like , Gnarly, Turbular, and the like. The one where you turn into a balloon and have to avoid football chucks and piranha flowers while refilling the balloon power up. Maddening

But what about the fire bar level in New Super Luigi U??????????????

World 9-7 New Super Mario Bros Wii it's full of ice blocks, fire spiting piranha plants and fire bros that will melt the ice block.

It's kinda crazy I managed to get 100 Coins in the Impossible Pack.

It annoyed me more than it should have hearing you say parakoopas instead of paratroopas.

They're called Bulrush, and there are 2 levels: Bulrush Coming Through and Bulrush Express, of which Bulrush Express is the harder one.
