@@triniplayer6172 there are some people who have burn in with this monitor but they all have the brightness maxed out or use the monitor in hdr for desktop use. There is just no getting around this fact and I own 3 OLEDs including the Alienware - any OLED panel must be used carefully to maintain longevity- in desktop hide icons and taskbar, use black background and keep brightness under 50% and only use HDR when watching Fullscreen movie or gaming and use the window settings to lower brightness of desktop graphics when in hdr. Seeing stuff clearly with that OLED panel is way more of an advantage than gettin 1ms of response time. Diminishing return from 240 to 360hz refresh rate isn't as good as the upgrade from IPS (or other panels) to OLED. I will be buying that LG monitor in the future for sure.

That’s just beyond crazy to me. Especially coming from an Oled panel
@rtyzxc
Жыл бұрын
@@califorupha1574 No it's not. Most people just misunderstand eye tracking motion blur. Eye tracking motion blur is only reduced by shorter persistence = displaying the image for shorter time, which happens either by strobing the image or increasing refresh rate. Even if the 360hz LCD transitions more slowly and has more overshoot artifacts, it still reduces persistence by changing the image more often.
I have the older non oled version of this monitor (32” 1440p 240hz), and it’s hands down the best monitor I’ve ever owned. Can’t even imagine how good this oled version is
Update: the overshoot is no longer anything above 0.4% average, they put a firmware update about 7-8~ish months ago! Cheers!
Thanks for pointing out color mode C1. I was just using HDR mode for everything since it has better colors.

Well I can't complain about my LG OLED C1 with under 1ms response time! Could keep that my whole life time.
I picked up the XG27AQM about 2 months ago and it's been unbelievable so far compared to my old 1080p 120 Hz xbox graphics. Haven't been able to fully utilize the 270 Hz overclock yet because RDNA 3 drivers are kinda mid still, but this OLED looks unbelievable side by side with the IPS. OLED for gaming scares me because of the constant HUD potentially being burned in, but if they can really hammer down on it to keep that from happening, I might make the jump next year and sell my IPS...

OLED is just OLED. If you've ever owned or used OLED, you know what I mean. The sheer snappiness of them is crazy, along with the mind-blowing blacks and just the overall superior visual experience. I remember when my girlfriend first saw it, she was blown away by the quality and to this day she's now so spoiled by our 77" OLED that any time she sees pretty much any other TV it's "meh".
