1) The Stars and Stripes is a nickname for the flag, one does not sing the flag. Honestly, I think would be weird for him to salute our flag or sing our Anthem at events as he's not American. We would be pretty miffed if he dissed the flag completely, though. 2) We have another common song over here, "My Country 'Tis of Thee", that is the exact same tune as the British National Anthem. 😅 To learn the British National Anthem, Meghan would likely have already known the tune and would only have to memorize the words ... something which she presumably did when working as an actress.
