Brilliant camera work showing much more of the squash. Amazing movement and athleticism which I don't think is paralleled in any other sport. Orfi's movement, I felt, was suspect at key times in this match.

@@user-ir8ms6ne1i so you think shuffling back into your opponent's line after a straight drive is the correct way to play? If so, I hope we never end up on court together 😁

It's impossible to know if it's deliberate without a mind-reading device, but at slower speed it is clear that Orfi steps backwards after the shot as Gilis is going behind her, bumping her off balance.

Orfi’s eye is no the ball when making the shot and she has no idea where her opponent’s line is, she steps in to make the drive and takes a tiny step back to get out of the shot, plain and simple squash. The Belgian on the other hand was mispositioned on the court when she played a loose shot. We should stop rewarding playing that make a back shot and then ask for a line to the ball. When you want a line to the ball, then move your opponent from the T, other wise be ready to run around

Poor Tinne, I've lost count of the number of these close finals she's lost in recent months. She'll eventually get there, its just a matter of getting more experience under her belt and more mental toughness.

I was there, saw Orfi's matches against Sabrina Sobhy and Gilis. The way Orfi can continually dominate entire rallies against some of the best players in the world simply with overwhelming pace and accuracy of straight drives is remarkable. And she's only going to get stronger!

I watched Gillis' complaint at 1:09 several times, focusing on Orfi's legs and feet. Orfi did, conveniently, leave her right foot in Gillis' path just enough to hinder her. Very sneaky... There again... on match point, Orfi backed her rear into Gillis just enough to hinder her. Personally, I would go nuts and it would not be professional.

@@pjkammer6801 As far as I know the rules - if your racket is on its way up and you are blocked it is a clear let for Gilis in that position. It is a steal as far as I see it.

Orfi backed into Gilis on that last point. Should have been a stroke. She actually obstructed on all three opportunities on the last rally. With her body, with her racquet, then that last one by actually moving into Gilis. Can't stand that kind of play.

The last 2 points of the match... Little elbow into Gilis in the back left corner , last point little back track into Giilis line. Not much but enough both times to put her off her getting to the ball... Ref to blame if nothing done about it earlier in the match, only saw highlights. Gilis is an honest player, she isnt the type to be moaning for the sake of it...Orfi is a good player with bad habits it seems. Spoilt the match a bit, tis more the pity.

Gilis is creating her own interference by playing shots that orfi then takes advantage of. Blocking or shutting off your opponent by playing a shot is quite a rightful way to score a point. It has been happening everyone does it when the chance arises

Come on, are you serious ?! It is written in the rules, you have to give the striker a clear path to the ball. And on match ball that is what Orfi tries to do but she thinks her lenght is shorter so she tries to give a line in front of her. Gillis would have reached that ball so a Yes let would have been the right call. We do not care about the ball quality of the former striker, when you choose to play on a loose ball it is your responsability to choose a target on the court that does not expose you. As an exemple, too many drop shots on a loose ball result on a no let, even though the other player makes the effort to play and would have reached the ball...

Absolutely nobody cares where she was born. We care about squash not being ruined by a generation of kids behaving poorly on court, and in Asal's case, REPEATEDLY being caught cheating.
