They really ought to remake these rides in VR when they go extinct, same goes for the Jimmy Neutron ride.

4d + vr would be cool, but idk how they'd pull it off, so yeah, vr would be neat.
@nickdegugs7190
4 жыл бұрын
Ricky Starbunny there’s 2 ways they could pull it off. 1: Re-render everything so that we get 360 deg of background 2: (more feasible) render a VR theater reminiscent of the real one with a screen that plays the old footage. Meanwhile the game could be programmed such that your view can be tilted as the real ride would.
@DaniGamez
4 жыл бұрын
Ricky Starbunny I’ve seen some malls have vr setups where you sit on a moving and vibrating chair in some sort of chamber so it could be possible to give you a vr headset and strap you in the chair to emulate it. The chair could move side to side because the chamber is big and some could fit multiple people as well as vibrate.

I actually got to experience this at the Nickelodeon Hotel in Orlando before it got changed to a Holiday Inn. I liked how there was a Nickelodeon trivia game before the show started.
I loved that ride. I wish I could go back to it one more time.... I rode it 5 times IN A ROW the last day it was at Kings Dominion. Defunct land or theme park history needs to talk about thisb

I remembered watching the Spongebob 4d ride on my 3DS, since it was on KZread.
Pretty neat how the 3D glasses look exactly like Spongebob's jellyfishing glasses
I remember the rock bottom part making scared for my life cuz I thought I was actually going to fall
I remember doing this at Kings Island. I loved it so much. I miss it so much. Now they use the building that used to housed the two big Theaters for a haunted house and office space sucks. I wish they bring those Theaters back some how. But time will tell right? Anyway thank you for posting this! So much love. I just subscribed to your channel! -Austin (Owner of Steel N' Wood Riders)
Bro spongebob has been in almost all dimensions, hes on paper, hes 2D, 3D (video games, maybe not canon) and NOW 4D?!?
I've never seen this in real life but I remember watching this on KZread years ago.
I remember seeing this in the theatre thinking it was the greatest thing I’ve ever seen in my life!
My childhood just turned on when I came across this video. Thank you for shouting one of my unforgettable memories out. I remember experiencing SpongeBob 4D in 2008 at the Cincinnati Zoo. It was the time when their 4D theater was new, and it looked not only special, but it looked like an actual amusement park attraction with an indoor pre-show queue, the box office, and the gift shop as you exit the theater. The glasses were red at the period of time but were changed to yellow after a while. When I first saw the appearance of the theater and the ride with my very own eyes, I always wanted to check it out. As we did, I experience SpongeBob 4D twice; once in the summer, and again in the fall when Halloween was coming up. The effects came out of nowhere as I didn’t know what was going on (some people were screaming and frightened by some), even the SimEx-Iwerks intro came out of nowhere before the ride started. Despite that, I thought the ride was insanely amazing and easily nostalgic for myself to look back into. In fact, this was the first 4D attraction I’d ever experienced in my life.

This comment took me back haha, I used to work in the giftshops of the zoo from 2012 to 2018, and pretty much ran that theater store at one point lol. I believe Spongebob came back at one point, but those shows changed up every 4 months, with a kid's show and a nature documentary, and then a 15-minute portion of The Polar Express during Festival of Lights. I'm going to guess that the screams from the audience were caused by the plastic brushes that hit your feet, a good amount of people didn't appreciate that part.
Experienced this at Canada's Wonderland in 2007 I'm pretty sure. Loved this so much, however I remember being horrified of the saw Patrick had.

I remember riding this ride at the nick hotel in Florida and it was amazing
I remember doing this when I was 4, I don't remember what exactly it was, but there was a loud noise, I think it was a lightning bolt or something, and it scared me and I wanted to leave but I had to prove that "I was big enough for this ride" so I stayed
That ride was awesome, I think I was 5 or 7 around the time when I was on it (in Las Vegas), I still love it to this day
Yesss haha we needed this video finally!
I remember an angry birds 4-D ride, but never a spongebob one

I actually went on this attraction when I was at the Adventure Aquarium in Camden, NJ. Was actually pretty fun, even had the motion chairs and water effects.
I remember this 3D attraction before. I've saw this at Canada's Wonderland. I miss those days
I rode this when it was at King’s Island (I forget which year big obituary this was during the Paramount era so certainly before 2009). Admittedly this didn’t help my fear of theme park rides I had from that and Honey I Shrunk the Audience when I was little
Omg this was my childhood! Great vid
I went on this in the Excalibur Hotel in Vegas. When the robot Patric shot the saw blade between spongebob's legs the leg area of the chair vibrated and I actually jumped. Thank you Spongebob 4D for making me fear for my genitals
That cliff part though
I miss this ride. Used to be at Kings Dominion, my old job. It was awesome, but when I finally started working there, Cedar Fairs bought the park back and I never saw it again. That paddle, though...
Going down that drop to Rock bottom made my life flash before my eyes 😆
I was actually found the full video on youtube instead of finding at roller coaster 4d as a kid and didnt know this is for theater 4d

I remember watching this years ago at Adventure Aquarium in Camden, New Jersey. It was a fun time.
I remember seeing this back in Niagara Falls at some point, back in 2009 if I'm not mistaken. It had the bubbles and the water and everything, it was an amazing experience. Even my dad who hates animated things in general loved the experience.

The Bikini Bottom scenery in this ride is very inaccurate to the show. For example, in this ride, The Chum Bucket appears very far away from the Krusty Krab when usually it's much closer.
I rode on the 4D ride in Las Vegas, was entirely worth it! Also I saw a BFBB rehydrated ad on this video

I definitely remember seeing this as a kid in 4D at Six Flags Over Texas. It's not there anymore as it was replaced by that bugs in space thing or whatever it was called; which soon became our "Justice League: Battle for Metropolis" ride.
I never experienced it myself, but I remember in 2008 when I was six and saw this on youtube!! I always wanted to experience it, but never went!!! Bummer!! LOL!!
I remember going to this on the nick hotel... The seats didn't move but they had the water and bubble effects
Probably one of the only acceptable time to clap at the end of a movie
I remember being at Mall of America as a kid waiting for 20 minutes in line to see this 6 minute ride and when he exploded bubbles from the top of the theater. I FUCKING LOVED IT!
I remember riding that ride as a kid. I did not like 3D when I was that age. But I wish i could ride it again. I rode it on Excalibur’s hotel.
so many memories riding this ride
I was on vacation in South Carolina where I went on that SpongeBob ride at an amusement park there. Yep. I saw the 3D adventure there.
That 4d show scared me as a kid so much. My local amusement part in Santa Clara, CA had this ride.
I saw these in a 4D theatre it was amazing I had a blast
I remember this Ahhhhh I wish I could go back in time and do it again
I’m fairly certain this is what gave me my fear of heights I went on this ride when I was really young and when they fall into rock bottom and bump the rocks on the way down I was scared😂
SpongeBob SquarePants 4D/3D (4D/3D ride & the ride) was first VR that is popular
They still have this in a amusement park in one of my border states
My Local cinema actually has 4d effects for most movies. So i can watch the new spongebob movie in 4d. Pretty cool!
I remember this used to be at Great America, but it got replaced with a Mass Effect ride (still awesome, but I wish I got to ride this again)
I remember watching this at the Adventuredome when I was 11. I loved it. 😁
I think I remembered going on this 4-D Spongebob ride a long time ago at the Dallas Zoo.
I went at Kings Dominion, at it was mainly kind of scary and unsettling for me back. And also, it wasn't a FIGHT scene, he was just RUNNING FROM THE PAT-BOT 3000 IN TERROR!!
so cool!
I 100% remember it! Six Flags Great Adventure had it for a few years, the building it was in, to my knowledge, is not being used right now
I remember going to a park and scrapping my knee. After I went to see a sponge bob 4D show like this and it sprayed water at me. It touched my knee. AND GOD IT BURNED SO MUUUCH

I remember going on the 4D version and baby me was not ready for Painty the Painting to yeet me into the ocean.
I remember that ride so much it was fun
ah, I remember seeing this when I went to Las Vegas when I was six. long story short, with all of the things that happened (I got the whole experience) I was carried out of that movie theater bawling my eyes out
I swear this is still in my zoo. I also renember always wanting to go on it but I never did and I would have never thought this is what it would be like . I thought people would go in some sort of roller coaster with a screen in front of you.
I know in Canada, at Canada's Wonderland - while you were waiting in line, there were screens along the line que which had SpongeBob waiting in a line as well (in the same animation). He introduces all the characters and settings to help familiarize an audience that may not be aware (like my parents back in 2003) with actual clips from the show. The whole "pre-show" was about 5 - 10 minutes, had some great line like "move along mattress"...or something like that. Wondering if other versions had that pre-show haven't been able to find that portion anywhere.
