Not all of the movies. He was heavily flanderized in the Russo Brothers movies. Endgame made him look like an idiot (the inventing time travel thing dosen't count cuz it's a plot device. Other than that he dosen't do anything smart for the entire movie)

@@tizianoferrigno588 I think the only thing that made him look flanderized, was him being a family man, and trying to maintain that family, was so important, he was willing to let everyone else, including his friends, young protege in Peter Parker, stay dead. That part sort of rubbed me the wrong way, not the time traveling.

This just shows that tony is holding back I really liked the superior iron man story it was really interesting seeing iron man with out limits and just how dangerous he would be if he never learned to care for other.

Theres a lot in common between Tony Stark and Senator Armstrong.

I loved Superior Iron man’s interaction with Daredevil specifically the pride and arrogance is so apparent, offering Matt a cure for blindness and after giving it to him, belittles and degrades him for questioning his ideals, showing that cure wasn’t for him but to get him on his side, bullying his blindness as he laments the cures temporary nature, the two are such a good dichotomy of a man who tries to change a system from within where Tony was above that system due to things like wealth and his companies. The distance he has from the average man would usually be a sign of a villain and although with no I’ll intentions Iron Man’s alcoholic binges in the older 616 comic universe gave his distance from the common man to show how a man with so much responsibility could cause so much harm when they make bad or selfish choices

Tony was not actually aroggant, arrogant is when you overvalue/overestimate yourself, Tony wasn't overestimating himself, he was being mostly realistic about it. Arrogance is not realistic, it's a illusion of superiority.

It will be interesting in future mcu to see a variant of Tony Stark being the major villain. Maybe the final villain when MCU is at last stage.

One of the running gags in eXiles was that in almost every universe with a Tony Stark, he is a super villain, and one of the “weird” things about 626 that variates it from the norm is the fact that it’s one of the only universes in which tiny stark isn’t a villain…. Usually… except in civil war…. Or when he’s drunk…. Or when he joins the Illuminati…. Or during this ark. The films water him down, which isn’t surprising since Walt Disney is one of the characters Tony Stark is modeled after, and portraying him as the alcoholic monster he is wouldn’t sit well with their brand.

I think this version of iron man should be in what if and this should be in the movies and maybe make an animated TV series about this story I really like how we get new suits with new colors and it shows Tony could teach a class on quantum physics to some of the smartest minds.

I honestly loved Axis, it was such a great run! I especially enjoyed the effect it had on Deadpool, turning him into Zenpool showed his fractured state, and that he wasn't quite good or bad, just violent

Ah I heard great things about Superior Iron-man and I'm glad you delivered it in such a detailed and fun way. It'd be cool if you spoke about Superior Spider-Man (Otto Octavius) one thing I really like about him is how cool his suit is.

I gotta be honest, it hurts to see Iron Man as a villain. Iron Man's my favorite superhero (Spider-Man's fighting him for it though), and to see him like this kinda goes against the Iron Man I knew. But at least they went back to it later on. You guys should make a top 10 Iron Man armors video.

@Luc Germain this is something I say often. Most people like MCU Ironman, they don't know how different comic Ironman is. Now I personally have a heavy grudge against the Avengers after AvX to put the bias out there. But I absolutely cant stand the comics Avengers.

Superior Iron-Man was an AMAZING story. Shame they had to do Secret Wars later and get this cancelled. 13 issues is too short for a story like this

Call me a Marvel Fanboy, but Marvel just has the best all around storytelling there is in comics. The Characters, Stakes, Fatalities, Consequences, How those consequences will effect everyone from that time on, actions, History, Future, just everything. It’s amazing.

@@Ethozel Yup which is why I made this claim, DC got some great stories. Kingdom Come, Death of SuperMan, Crisis, Blackest and Brightest Night, Flashpoint, The Trench, Metal, Judas Contract (personal favorites) etc etc I read both so don’t get me wrong, I also love DC. But as many as these crisis/multiverse/ flash points events take place nothing really sticks. How many times we gotta reform the 7 ? How many times do you gotta New 52 or rebirth your heroes? DC shoots themselves in the foot just as with the movies by not sticking to ONE major cohesive storyline and story telling. That’s why I jus gotta give Marvel they flowers for what they continue to do.

Despite tony not being a superhuman, he still one of the most threatening figures in marvel.

He was always evil . There's a recent comic where random people got his genius and were able to solve The world's problems instead of making a metal suit and punching bad guys in the face.

Honestly that’s a problem with all super smart people in comics. Most problems society deals with could be solved with all the crazy tech they make. At the very least in a world where someone with Tony, Reed Richards, or Doctor Doom’s intellect exists, there really should be no food shortages, infinite clean energy, and Star Trek level medical tech

You do realise that without no metal suit and punching bad guys there would be no story for him in first place? Plus, the whole point of his character is that he starts as an asshole that learns to appreciate people around him more and becomes a better person.

Honestly dying by a carrier seems kind of like a let down considering the chaos he caused 😂

I remember this one, it was awkward continuity wise because Hickman’s Avengers run while it had things appearing from other comics the timeline didn’t really matchup. This comic run was bittersweet of course but rendered null when Secret Wars pulled the biggest reset Marvel could manage at that point…

A movie of this would be amazing.

Raven was scolded for suggesting this as a villain idea in the Go universe. And they experienced more pain offscreen than one could realize. (They revealed their battle damage once in a grossout humor.) Raven suggested a corporate/political influential theme for a villain, when they were thinking of the best villain theme to fight their rivals.

One of my favourite comics, it was such a cool what if. Not to mention my all time favourite iron man suit

I find it so very hard to believe that captain American in the war machine suite, which is significantly weaker then regular iron man let alone the superior iron man suit, was able to go toe to toe with superior iron man. I'm so disappointed in the ending 😒 I feel like that should have been an absolute beat down. Out of all the ways they could have taken superior down this feels lame.
