Yea as an aspiring physicist that statement bugged me. And if it has a higher suspension than say a regular rally car (which I’m not scared saying it probably has) the amount of G’s it will “pull” on impact will be less, so it’s not even an impressing statement

@@TrynaBeCray Sounds about right, 12g would kill a normal human quite quicly (not instantly but heart could not keep up and pump blood into your brain which would kill most untrained humans).

years ago worked in truck company, american trucks for unknown reasons had always been famous for its non-maneuverability, non-sharp, woody wheeling and big af place needed for reversal turns. Peterbilt, Kenworth, Ford, Mack but I need to admit - what about driver comfort those were #1 or in first three definitely

No it's not. Truck class is only 3-4 Kamazes battling it out among themselves, leaving other, non-factory drivers far behind and irrelevant. Whereas you have fierce competition in bike, car and ssv classes and unpredictable outcome almost every year.

I wish I could be a passenger in the awesome Kamaz truck!!! It's truly a BEAST in any terrain!!!

My hat is off to the whole Kamaz team and the drivers brilliant, the shot that amazed me was the first minute or so of the drift Mazda it looked more like clever photography using a radio control drift car along side the Mighty Kamaz, if I had my time again I would love to be with the Kamaz team driver co-driver hey tea boy just to say I did, but at 64 probably not going to happen.

Watched a programme about these trucks and drivers They are utterly mental and the drivers have balls of steel

First time I saw this truck was at goodwood. I was wondering why everyone was freaking out when they saw it. When I found it on the internet I realized I saw a legend.... that happens a lot at goodwood.

Trucks in Dakar? Bring back the daf twin from Jan de rooy. 😁 Best video of dakar ever, a darn truck passing a peugeot rally car, at top speed. Waving at Vatinnen and just drive past. That was epic. Dangerous as hell but epic

I"m all for the cool angles and stuff but the way the camera jumps around so much gives us zero idea of what the cars look like moving in space.

Rally car versus a truck (Big Rig). Sounds like something straight out of MotorStorm right there. In fact, this truck would feel right at home in that game series.

Holy Ballz. I have a huge Unimog 1300L but NO WAY could it do stuff like that. It may be able to pull a freight engine off a rail but these Kamaz skills are incredible.

Remember: a stock Lada Niva came second in Dakar... no other brand has every come close. That Kamaz need to be heavily modified to keep up lol

The Niva is the best offroader ever. (The three door one, the five door Niva loses some offroad capabilities in favor for some space). Light, short, sturdy. It's not built for comfort, it's built to get you from point A to point B, no matter if there is a road or if there is none. The lack of powered steering is a serious downside, but the car always has space for modifications. It's also undeniably cute for a bucket with bolts.

Being a diesel its producing about 50% more torque than horsepower so around 1800fp of torque
