Happy Sunday! We wanted to take you on a day in our life here in Costa Rica and show you how much we spend in a day. The results did shock us so make sure to watch until the end for the full breakdown! We have travelled out of backpacks with $20/day budgets and we have seen 3 day ski trips cost as much as $1000! I first went to Costa Rica in 1975 with my wife (a Tica) and it was the most affordable place . We bought a house in Pavas in 1978. Ever since, prices have soared and today is on a par with Chicago where I live. It’s a beautiful country but don’t expect great things on the economic front.

When I saw you caring for that poor kitty that made me love y’all even more than I do! I knew then that y’all love animals as much as I do and can’t stand to see an animal going hungry. And so many cats and dogs around the world are going hungry and are mistreated. But anyway I will get off my soapbox I love watching y’all’s videos you always make me smile and laugh.

🥳💐Thanks for your vlogs! Tip: Avoid avocado mess on the cutting board by slicing it in the skin (after removing the stone) before scooping it out with a spoon onto the sandwich. For guacamole, cut into checkerboard squares before spooning and then mash as usual. Merry Christmas!

Tal, Mads, have you thought of adding a small scooter on the back of the van back home? They are decent very inexpensive and can travel quickly instead of moving the entire van. A friend I have does it and she told us it’s a game changer. Her partner is now learning how to ride a motorcycle ( With me) because now then can take turns to grabbing groceries. Best of luck! Hi Girls. I seen you on the one episode of Van wives when you surprised them. I’ve been following them for a long time now. Watched one of your videos yesterday and decided to like and subscribe, so I have been watching a few of your uploads and liking them to help out your channel. I have to ask though, how did you manage hiking that trail in flip flops? Holly crap! That had to be so painful on the feet and ankles walking over rocks and tree roots. Peace✌️

Every holiday will cost you money if you really want to enjoy it. The waterfalls looked amazing. Must have been totally worth it despite the adventurous hike. I just love such beautiful sunsets at beaches. The live music seems to have been really amazing.

Tal and Mads pull the cat food out that’s a rescue and happy you have done that? So have a happy Holiday 🎄🎄🤶🏻🤶🏻 and Happy New Year 🎆🎇 look forward to 2023 and new adventures with y’all.

Yes! Costa Rica is beautiful & friendly. When we started going there in 2006/7 a typical casada at a little soda cost $2.50 and we rented little Cabina’s between $30- $50 dollars a night.
