And so it should be. However, these 'rules' and 'regulations' carry the penalty of law bypassing Congress. While I do not believe all of these bureaucratic agencies should be fully dismantled, I am a firm believer that they MUST be disempowered to enact rules with the power of law. I also believe a review of all rules and regulations imposed by these agencies is in order to discern Constitutional legality. While we are on the subject, States that impose laws that are in conflict with the Constitution need to be properly reprimanded and/or fined (ALL federal funding withheld) until the law complies with the Constitution of the United States or is abolished. I'm sure there are better ways to handle all of this. These are just generalized ideas. ---Just my two cents.

There is no discernable difference between the approved brace and all thebother available braces . Steven dettlebach also lied under oath that simply removing the brace is acceptable fix . How about a new "rule" declared by the ATF... governments around this nation need to immediately quit trying to violate the 2nd Amendment to the US Constitution and all people in government are subject to life in prison and a fine of $1,000,000, paid to the citizen.

Why is Nadler so proud of being ignorant of the rules and laws that they are talking about? He has been a Representative for THIRTY YEARS. How does he not know what the penalties of violating federal NFA regulations are? How is he literally sitting there and making a point to show that he doesn't even know what the pistol brace rule says? Massie is RIGHT. The rule punishes POSSESSION of a pistol brace + pistol. Hence, it says to register or DESTROY the brace...... He is sitting here and showing that he can't even bother to inform himself of basic facts before trying to debate someone. Massie going to Cline for the answer was golden, since it points out how obvious it is that one side of the debate actually cares while the other is just trying to push gun control for gun control's sake.

I have been targeted by the FBI. 702 is abused. I never been arrested! What they collected was not lawful. Here is how easy it is to get on a list. My wife starts having an affair with a junior jail house Los Angeles county sheriff. He puts my name in the hat and makes up stuff about me. Since 2019 I have seen the same people while on vacation in San Diego. 6 months later Las Vegas. They are part of the group that had my condo bugged. ( just ask my wife) . I have been broken into 6 times all reported without ever an arrest. Just this month it has become impossible to keep my condo since this group got me fired in 2020. One day near the veterans administration building in Los Angeles on wilshire Blvd I was almost run over by one of these followers. She was driving a Toyota 4 runner around a 2010. I know her because I have seen her many times from Orange County to Ventura county. She went at me while walking my friends “police dog”. I yell at her and call her a gang stalker. No foul language, just gang stalker. Which she is. That was around 10am by 3pm her husband who is in law enforcement driving a black General Motors SUV with a PS7 license plate. He tried to run me over while I was on a electric scooter. He then jumps out of the truck and comes after me. I square up to fist fight a cop with a gun and a guy who I have dates and times where he followed me on the 405 freeway. What else could I do. He the husband of the Amazon women who drove the 4 runner. She is 5’10” and not fat but thick. He is fat. Beer belly blond gray hair and about 5’9”. As he was coming at me another law enforcement guy in another vehicle pulled up and kept telling him to calm down. As he calmed down he started calling me names, also called me a Trump supporter , ( no-one knows if I am or if I am not) but he wanted to beat me up. Eventually he got in his vehicle provided by the tax payers and left. Of course I reported it and of course no arrests. Oh i did not get a call back. But the point is once the FBI runs your name they share it with other law enforcement. Once that happens you can’t stop what they can do to you. We must support the Congress this is more on the lines of weaponize government . Something Jim Jordon from Ohio is the chair on a current committee fighting this very thing. So when we watch the high ups at the FBI and they say”trust me” I will look the guy up and if he’s clean I will let it go. But all the juniors in law enforcement who don’t know anything take this information and run with it. Cops driving around parking lots and thier cruisers they are reading license plates. If your expired you don’t get a ticket they wait unil your driving then pull you over and that’s when you get the ticket. School board meetings , little league games, church on Sundays, it never ends. It’s unconstitutional. On you tube we see a big picture and that’s great but being Americans you could on a local level find out why taken the 5th is so insulting to law enforcement? Or why taken a wooden box and standing on the street corner and making up your own religion is not encouraged. I mean you don’t want the police to know you. Correction, I want my country back, and I want free speech, freedom of religion . Sorry to many family members have given up their lives fighting foreign wars so I would have these rights.

Instead of arguing with Nadler, why doesn't Massie just say, "Ok, you're right. Let's codify that this brace and only this exact brace is legal and we'll move on to other braces at another time", and watch their head spin. First rule of negotiation is when they agree to the most salient point, you don't argue them out of it.

Nadler is echoing what the director of the ATF said in front Congress, which the ATF themselves said was incorrect. You cannot simply remove the brace from the firearm and still have it in your possession because of what the ATF is calling "constructive intent". Who is correct the ATF director and Nadler or the ATF who corrected the director?

This is a nation of legislated law. This is NOT a nation of executive or bureaucracy rules. Big difference between LAWS and RULES and last I looked only one branch of this government has the ability to create LAWS and that is the legislative branch not the executive branch. Anyone can create rules and breaking them cannot get you fined or jailed by any government (local, state, federal, etc.). Only laws have this power because laws have to have the vast majority consensus of the people (through representation) to even have the ability to come to fruition. In other words, most of the people have to agree that a rule should become a law. I can make a rule that nobody can in my state is allowed to wear purple hats. Can I call the police if I see someone wearing one? Sure! Will they get in any trouble? No, because it's my rule, not a LAW. The ATF has just as much right to enforce some ARBITRARY RULE across this land as any single Joe Schmoe. NONE! NO RIGHT WHATSOEVER! If the people (through representation) don't agree to it, guess what...it ain't law.

So if your handgun-- as of right now, that is-- has one of these forearm braces attached to it in your home then you are going to prison for 10 years. I thought the purpose of these braces were to allow people(mostly veterans) with just one arm, to fire a handgun? Why would a person with one arm ever take this thing off? Surely this new rule would make most-- if not all-- 1-armed veterans, criminals.

This argument has nothing to do with the idea of making America a safer place; that’s smoke and mirrors. I suggest that making the pistol brace a criminal violation is simply about money. I argue, in many jurisdictions the prisons are now managed, controlled, and owned by individual companies; so every prison bed is untapped monitory potential. These companies use their political influence…often represented by political donations…in an effort to keep these beds full and the money rolling in. Said differently…private corporations control and own the prisons (in some jurisdictions)…each prison bed is untapped potential, and the corporations only make money if the bed is filled…political donations are made in an attempt to influence political office holders…politicians who now represent these prison corporations use every political scam to support those who support them…and thus the pistol brace rule is changed. So something that has been legal for 10 years now becomes a felony, and Americans who would otherwise be safe from prison, become felons. So…you see…this is all about money… Your thoughts… PS As for Nadler...the guy belongs in prison
