That's A Sweet Sound | Full Tilt Seeding & New Fence Preparations
I decided to go full tilt at repairing the seeding boots on our Bourgault seeding bar. We are also flat our preparing for a new fence to be put up around our house. Plus the new nozzle caps arrive for the sprayer and I get them installed.

Great job welding Henry
Great video Henry
Thanks for your video’s, enjoying everyone
Seatbelt Henry!!
I feel silly, when I know I'm watching a video, Henry starts the welder and by instinct I avert my eyes. I guess some things never go away.
Fixing go pro. Farmers multi tasking champs.
Great summer weather for those shed jobs for sure.
Good to see a productive person, hope your year goes well for you. Thanks 🙏
Liked the work on the seed nozzles. I do look at my jobs the same way you do, but as I’m mobility challenged, I also add a time/pain component into my calculations. Nice to get the spray nozzles working, but isn’t it nice when you can get the correct part the first time.
Lots going on at your farm. Almost 6k subscribers!
The nozzles are vector maths - the idea is that the backward component of the spray velocity is the same as your forward speed so the drops are falling vertically. Good to see another pile of jobs getting done :)

Excellent explanation, thank you. I had no idea haha. Thanks for watching 👍

@@lockvalleyfarms981 I was going to ask a similar question, Would they provide a recommended speed on those nozzles to get the most coverage or is it completely reliant on the terrain.
@mozismobile

@@ashdavy9828 it will vary with pressure but ~30 years ago when I grew up on a farm most nozzles had a pretty narrow range of flow rates so they probably have effectively a fixed rearward speed. But the difference between hitting the plants at 20kph and 5kph is probably "good enough for Straya" :)

@@mozismobile Thanks for the explanation, I will stick with cattle haha. I do enjoy the education though through watching these videos of how others do it.
Nice chamberlain. I’ve been watching to see what model it is but we just don’t get to see. I’m tipping it’s a 4280. Has it been on your farm since new? We had a 3380 from new back in the day but when we had finished with it it didn’t look as neat as yours.
Thanks for the video Henry, great to see you getting everything ready. That must mean you will have a breakdown free seeding?! Nothing to do with farming but that is an amazing cloud formation at 21:02

Well spotted Dave maybe a jet trail.

It's certainly not a natural cloud formation. @@willian.direction6740

It's probably 20 years old and the other end has the lid cut off it.

Yeah no worries, last year 2 men were killed in Welshpool when the drum they were welding on exploded. So just pointing it out. @@lockvalleyfarms981
