Rodents tend to look for warm spots to nest and feed. Cleaning all food stuffs and edibles out of the cabs and blocking access points, but in machines like that a very difficult task.

Peppermint oil to keep mice out of cabs smell is to strong for them and makes the cab smell nice, just don't touch your eyes after applying. learned that the hard way.

The gear reduction drive system is interesting. It works fine when it is new. But in a application where you have corrosion fertiliser and moisture not so good. A inclosed worm drive gearbox may be a better solution. 😢

Smelly Christmas tree air fresheners. They don't like the smell at all.

Good old fashioned aftershave. Soak a cloth or two in it and place them in most likely part of the cab their getting in. They hate it be gone in no time. We used to buy the cheapest nastiest aftershave we could find.spray it all around the bin, augers and sieves etc. Bloody magic👍
