That Moment A Steelhead SLAMS Your Spinner! THIS IS WHY I Fish With Spinners

Спорт

Today I'm out Winter Steelhead Fishing with spinners . As usual i will be spinner fishing for steelhead using AAFCO Salmon and Steelhead Spinners. There are many techniques out there but this steelhead fishing setup has a habit of turning a slow day of fishing around when nothing else seems to be working.
Check out some of my other videos on how to catch steelhead. Between spinners, float fishing, bobber doggin, and the list goes on and on, there are so many different ways to target these fish. Best of luck to all of you!! Keep an eye out for me if you make it out to the Sandy River, i'm out there all the time.

    Captain Mike Henderson - Thank You and Congrats on your first steelhead!! It is definitely exciting. I always enjoy the fight of a good fish. The weather DOES suck which is why I really enjoy the other 3/4 of the year when it’s not so cold lol. I’m not always looking for something to put in the freezer. I simply enjoy the rush that comes with hooking a chrome fish and the time I get to spend outdoors. I don’t know when I started thinking and/or saying thank you but it comes with respect for the fish and it’s life. Sometimes it provides an experience and rush I was chasing, and other times it provides that in addition to providing myself and family with food. In the end fish are another living creature, and deserve respect. Thanks for the support and feedback. Puts a smile on my face to know you will adopt this same “respect”

    Nice catch bro! I grew up and live off sprinwater. I checked one of my spots Saturday and the water was high and fast so I dipped out to a pond past McMinnville and hooked 2 almost 3 broodies off a number 4 black bell with glitter and a silver and chartruce blade. The state cop said that it's rare to catch those off a spinner. Everyone else was throwing power eggs and no luck. How do you like those Caddis ? I bought a pair a few months ago but yet to get to use them. They were cheap enough so I said why not. Good luck brother. Way to start the season! I just somehow found your channel and love it. Your a real dude! Props buddie.

    Hell ya man those brooders are fun! I’m not sure why everyone fishes power bait for brooders. After a week of being in the water they will chase down and smash anything you get near them. That’s way more fun than casting out your bobber and bait and sitting there.. just my opinion. I’m liking the caddis so far, they are affordable and that’s what I was looking for. I am insanely rough on my gear.. ask me again mid coho season lol. I’m glad you found the channel and appreciate the support! Thanks! Best of luck to you as well 🎣🎣

  • @AnglingAddictsPNW

    @AnglingAddictsPNW

    4 жыл бұрын

    Chris Knaus - Thank you Chris! Was it you that mentioned about time put in between catches? That is a great idea. Seeing videos like this makes it look easy, when it’s not. I think I May start keeping track of time, casts, etc. I have fished very little this year. Where I would usually be fishing most of January, I only fished maybe two to three times and only for an hour or two. Basically I wanted to wait until February when fish are typically in and being caught. Honestly the last three fish on video came pretty easy. With the conditions, I knew where I wanted to go and why, and it just happened to work out. So an average amount of time per week would be hard to figure out because I may only fish once in a weeks time because of the conditions, or I may fish everyday. Either way, a realistic view into the in between catches would be interesting to track.

    Robert Streams - this river is glacier fed, so the water is pretty cold. Obviously it can get too cold to get fish to want to put in much effort but Steelhead and Rainbows thrive in cold water.
