Correct you are. I give thanks for the truth and for the Wampanoag Tribe and all other tribes. You are the originals and for that, I love and respect our history. What you have done is change the game of historical lies and deception. Keep educating us. Keep living and being the People of the First Light! May our ancestors protect you and restore you to wholeness.

Thank you for teaching the truth. We need to stand on the truth and never stop telling your truth. As a African American our stories have to be told so people can see and hear our pain. Freedom isn’t free your people paid a high cost for everything in American.

1863 is the year President Lincoln made the holiday of Thanksgiving. That was also the year that the U.S. Army forced the Long Navajo Walk also known as the Trail of Tears . We are led to believe that this holiday is based on a story of a shared feast that took place when the Pilgrims arrived. I admire how well you know your Tribal History.

As a child, I was one of the many children who were told the wrong message about the 1st Thanksgiving. I have native American Indian on both sides of my family, in fact I have a picture of one of my great great grandmother in my living room. I kind have known it wasn't quite what I learned. I was at a wedding south of Boston and I wanted to go to Plymouth rock. I was very interested to read and see everything that was available for me to see. I blessed every part of the land and all of the native Americans who my ancestors slaughtered. I have had a difficult time with Thanksgiving since. I try to be thankful each day and on this day , thanks for whatever the day brings. I also apologize for my ancestors, the way our children are taught and all of the other misinformation from that time. I wish I could meet many of my native American Indian relatives. BLESSINGS to all of you.

Miles is good looking. I'm non Native American. Not a bit of blood in my entire family lineage. We as a last one of us NEVER celebrate "Thanksgiving". The day is a day of mourning those kind people who were so brutally and needlessly murdered for no reason what so ever. I cringe when I hear others smiling and wishing, "Happy Thanksgiving!" to each other because there was and is nothing to be thankful over. Nothing at all.

I am Mexican, my live and soul with our anscestors. One thing would like to address; US is not America, the founders if US were white christian people. The name America to the continent was given almost 300 years before US was founded. The name was given by a German map maker, not for the exclusive right of US, beca US did not exist then, but to the land and people of Alaska all the way down to Patagonia Argentina. US was called the Union, and adopted America i July 4, 1776,vafter their independence from their own people(Englan). From then on, they stole the land, then the name America for themselves only.

One of the great misconceptions is desensitizing who those people were that came from Europe. Who were sent by their Royal leader. The myth that everyone indoctrinated to believe. Is that they were somehow pilgrims. Pilgrims are groups of people who goes on a religious fact-finding and discovery. Those that broke bread with the original Native Americans. Who posed as we come in peace. They were truly mercenary sent by their ruling King!

Let’s call it Indigenous Remembrance Day and I’m from Jewish background and animal rights activist and veg. In fact nature is most important. My ancestry is from Russia and I can tell you that Europeans stole the land. I saw a coyote this morning and he looked lost. This made me sad. So much land taken away. I call this day Thankstaking.

I haven't forgotten. Descendant of Roger Williams basically I am. Pilgrims were very thankful to The Wampanoag Clan that Squanto belonged to from The Patuxet Tribe. Sad that his whole tribe was whipped out by disease in such a short time. I know I'd like to meet your people. I have a lot to teach. Wish I had your email addresses.

Are Y'all mistaken/ Try thanks-taking/ It's time, y'all awaken/ too much turkey got y'all belly aching/ high starch and sodium got sweating and shaking/ food in your cavity, got your tooth aching/ extra plates, and ignored the calories you're intaking every year identifying with your capture/ poor eating habits are pushing you closer to the here and after! 🤔

@@maryfrances1307 Everyone parrot that quote, but few actually mean it. Looking at history is ugly and is _not_ black and white, which makes people uncomfortable, most are content accepting the narrative even though it shows a fraction of the story. I am not ignorant the US government slaughtered natives, I am also not ignorant natives butchered plenty of white people, and each other. My point is, I'm not holding anything against someone today for something their ancestor did 200 years ago, nor will someone get my sympathy for something that happened to an ancestor of theirs 200 years ago.

So sad they missed the true meaning of Thanksgiving. They instead choose Obama's Indigenous peoples division propaganda. When in one moment in time all our people came together and built a great nation that lead to the Constitutional protections we have today. They sound filled with pride, hatred for Americans, and call that day a lie. I stand with Squanto, a true Christian. He was dealt the worst hand and gave all with love. I stand with the Wompanoag that were there that day and helped to build a great nation where we all live in safety now. This video is disgraceful, a slap in the face to all who have fought for this nations protections, that includes the Indigenous people that went to wars through out our history to protect all our posterity.
