I was smiling ear to ear when I saw it in the recommend list. I have been enjoying the other sketches quite a bit, but I always love these traditional sketches!

Three things to always expect from these baking championship skits: 1. Host’s cake is an unholy abomination 2. Sandy gets overlooked for her nice cake 3. Kyle’s cake always has a certain “theme” to it 😂😂😂

My favorite part of this entire skit was Pete saying "to hell with it" having his cake and eating it, too. Also, Pete and Aidy breaking character at that last cake while Ego kept it together was hysterical.

Pete didn't even act/react to the other cakes during the sketch. He kept eating the "mustard" cake that was supposed to be bad and noncommittally reading lines, then blew it at the last cake. SNL needs to stop forcing Pete down our throats.

@@Leomerya12 that's exactly what it was. Pete is so "edgy and cool," that he he just nonchalantly does whatever he wants, while looking like Pete Davidson in every sketch. Even in costume, he's got his painted nails and goofy mannerisms. It's the whole, "I don't care" thing. Him eating cake the whole time was distracting as fuck.

@@vhiftyyi Personally, I found him eating it funny. Gave me vibes that his judge is good at judging but also doesn't care and will eat anything. I get some of your criticisms but the nail polish one is just what? It doesn't harm the skit and he shouldn't have to remove his nail polish then repaint every week. Though honestly, I've never gotten "I don't care" vibes from him.

Eddie Murphy's Sonic cake is still the winner.

With how frank and anatomical his past cake descriptions have been, I'm guessing they floated that by their standards person and they couldn't get away with saying the word "semen" or "ejaculate" with something so obviously dicklike, so they had to go with a softer euphemism.

I'm surprised nobody on SNL has parodied Pete Davidson of him breaking character.

The look on Pete's face at 4:40 in the video is priceless! He almost loses it.😂😆

I only laughed once and that was when I realized that Pete was choosing to eat as much cake as he could with no shame lol

I think it would probably be absurd to maintain a straight face with that last cake. Everything from slicing to eating is rife with innuendo. And don’t leave a bit of frosting on the lips too long afterwards. Or lick it off for that matter. It’s just all so wrong. And then standing there as it’s televised live to half the country? I’m wondering how it went for the west coast airing.

4:28 I knew it was coming. This is one of their formulaic sketches. I already knew. But still... here I am... in tears. 🤣

The pilgrim barfing on Sandy kills me every time, this one was funnier than the Cookie Monster baking one with Don Cheadle which was the best of these skits.

I always love in these skits when the cakes come to life or start doing weird things!! It makes this even funnier!

I think he was just way too high and when he fudged getting cake to mouth in his first scene he panicked and thought he could make a bit out of shoveling all the cake in his mouth. I don’t mean to sound harsh but it was really distracting to me and honestly sorta ruined the skit. He can be high and act like that and knows people will still love him for “just being Pete”
