They confirmed on the Facebook post for it that there are multiple head options including a full helmet

Absolutely would take a pair of those wings and stick them on a second Celestine so I could have a "reborn in holy fire" version of her for when she resurrects.

I love them! So much more menacing than their predecessors. The Barbute style helm is far better for an aerial unit that needs to adjust its vision constantly. Personal preference of course but I prefer this style to the standard Stormcast helm

I actually like them...i feel like they stand out in a good way. The old ones were a bit too boring and similar to regular stormcasts imo

I thought the original Prosecutor's connection to the base, their long flowing scripture roll, was pretty genius. RIP good ideas.

I personally like the energy wings because it makes it look more magical instead of purely angelic or mechanical. It’s a nice mix. Honestly, I wish they had more wings. Make them have 4 or 6 wings. I’m with you on the head and spikes though. The trident is something I’m indifferent towards.

The helm reminds me of Gwar's Beefcake the Mighty, but without the rest of the "beefcake"

The asterisk at the bottom of the article does mention that they can be fitted with closed helmets, so hopefully those look better!

The open helm is just one helm option, with a closed helm alternative more in keeping with usual Stormcast aesthetic also being available. I am not sure about the metallic mohawk look on either helm option myself (though that should be easy enough to remove if it doesn't work for me on the model when assembled), but the open faced helm with its greater available peripheral vision does actually make sense for a winged warrior that is likely to be flying around at speed and would need to see obstacles in good time to avoid them.

The trident might seem odd, but the old version of the unit had one as well. It was the 'upgrade' from the standard spear (like how the two hammer variant had a two-handed hammer upgrade).

I absolutely love them, myself. I wasn't planning on having Prosecutors in my Stormcast army but now I'm gonna have 2 units. They just hit soooo many elements I like. Also handily I think they'd make great bases for converting Vetenari Custodians too.

I’m team ‘clear plastic rod’, over team ‘slightly touching a rock’. Although they did an amazing job with the Slaan in a gyro-scope.

It looks odd because it's a chaos 40k trophy rack and the aesthetic is heading more towards chaos warriors. Then there's the bloody tactical rocks. The Corinthian helmets have too large a face gap as well

The wings would work great for sisters seraphim/zeriphim conversions to imitate a wings of fire effect like the lore sometimes states.

the stormcast have helmets very similar to old cavalry helmets found in antiquity such as the one emperor Aurelian wore. The main thing that draws similarity between the two is how the helmet was made to picture a face.

I honestly love how everybody has a different opinion about things because I absolutely love these models, I like them better than the old winged variant. I love the helmets I love the wings and I love the trident 😂😂 The spear is my least favorite option Aunt I wish that I could put this helmet on all of any stormcast I would get.

As someone who was planning on replacing the heads anyway, these look incredible!

Tridents are historically only used for combat by Gladiators, specifically the sort who was basically rocking a combat fisherman vibe. They're good for spear fishing, but in actual combat the extra 2 stabs are wasted (stab a guy once and he usually dies anyway), and it gives a spot between the prongs where you could potentially parry or catch the thrust, and it negatively effects the balance by adding more weight at one end, essentially making it just a spear but worse.

I'm absolutely using those wings on something Thousand Sons related

The trident design couldve been better and yea the wing "flames" just look weird, but then again it might just be the way they were painted.

The wings are shit. They're supposed to be pure light striking out from the vanes on his back. Now they're on fire? Huh?

At the end of the day, I appreciate GW making these changes to move away from the Sigmarine design of the past.

They may look jarring at first but once you see the original prosecutor… yeah the new sculp looks alot better

I love it. I'm normally a bare head hater with Space Marines, but this is the second Stormcast release (the first was Sigmars son) where I actually thought ouu I like that. I think I hadn't noticed the Thunderstrike armour imporving the style. I feel like they're starting to feel like they fit well with the old empire range and the new cities of sigmar range. Less glowy inspiring angel hero and more menacing. I think the face gives an expression that a helm couldn't.

To me, it's the disconnect between something arial or avian with the wings, and then having a trident, and with the spikey helmet being aquatic identified. I just wrote this and then you said aquaman. Dammit. Oh well, I agree then.

They really need to come up with a new system for doing flying models within having everyone touching a rock or gravestone

This is actually my favourite Stormcast to date, the helmet is exactly what I’ve always wanted, minus the spikes. I really love the Greek style!😊

I'm guessing what they are trying to is create more differentiation in the range as the original Stormcast did have a lot of models that were pretty similar. I'm really glad the evidence points to the infantry flying stands and model precariously balanced on a thin piece of dangling scrolling seems to have gone away also. The model "flying" on a pointy rock is really the best compromise imo.

The helmet looks like Flash Gordon so i get it. Thankfully swapping heads is a modeling tradition as old as time itself

I'm with you on the helmet Spartan like spikes. Too goofy looking. Reminds me of the crazy Lumineth helmets.

The old once have that helm and the choice of a trident as well, that 5 or 6 pack came with alot of weapon choices, they where abit more square though,

The old models had trident on the prime and spears on the others, I think they look good.

I think you captured everything i thought when i saw these; the heads and the weapons. I never liked the face helms much to start with, and suddenly switching to barbutes? Nah. Full closed medieval helms please, sallets and armets. And glad you're doing better, love your content, the attitude you approach the hobby with and the semi regular collabs with adric!

I love em all! Luckily you probably have a tonne of leftover stormcast helmuts and spear arms from Dominion!

I prefer the spear, but as a way of picking out the unit champion the trident is fine. I actually prefer the open helmets to the weird golem faces, but I agree that the spiky crest isn't a great look.

Hope there's more then 3 in the boxset (or there's more stormcast units that weren't in the trailer to show), in my opinion I hope there's a fully helmeted version, otherwise looks awesome 😎 Love The TRIDENT!!!

I quite like the model tbh, but I will have to put in the closed helmet options.

Somehow it reminds me of heaven/anti-spawn. Not that much is needed for that, but its an interesting sculpt.

Trident looks like it's trying to be a glaive, or trying to be a halberd. The blade profiles are wrong for a trident.

The new helmet reminds me of the Imperial Legion armour helmet from Oblivion, and all I can imagine now is this guy descending down going “Stop right there criminal scum!”

Yeah for me the wings are by far the worst part. You could just make normal wings, you could make flames that fly off the wings, giving the model a sense of movement. No, just flames hovering around the wings, sick.

Cut off the side blades of the trident, use them on the helmets instead of the lightning mohawk, paint the face metal colored, and f***ing send it. Bing bang boom.

The more I see it against the artwork the more I wonder if could just be painted all metalic like the rest of the range to match. Agree on the trident, far too Posiedon esk for me but I love the models look and feel in general. I may repurpose the heads to use purely for leaders of squads a bit like Roman Centurions/Greek equivalent.

I am with you on the Helm looking very much like a spiny Hoplite helm. For a flying unit i feel the helm should be more sleek. Also yes the spear is nicer than the trident. Trident is a Boss kind of weapon.

I'm not sure how I feel about the wings, I didn't much care for the spikey wings but I appreciated how unique they were to the Stormcast. This feels like it's trying to emulate Yndrasta which is weird because I think she worked specifically because of how unique her wings are to her and having one character with natural wings was cool. I do like this redesign with the feathery flames but then I also think the flames feel out of place within the rest of the Stormcast range. The article says they come with enclosed helmets but even then I think I'll probably swap out the wings for the old design.

The only thing I like about this style of armour is the legs. Like those greaves are absolute class. Everything else just doesn't do anything for me.

I've loved a good barbute since I watched Lord of the Rings, and weird spikes on the head aside (I can totally clip those off) this is a great barbute. On the other hand, I don't think I like barbutes on Stormcast. It's not their vibe. Thankfully (as everyone else has said) there's alternate helms.

I quite like the model and even think the helmet looks decent. My larger issue is the goofy as hell foot placement on the Tactical Rock™. Any minor dislikes also look incredibly easy to trim or convert away.

It looks like it was designed by another company. Selling my Stormcast, not replacing existing models with these ones. Seems like a dumb move, GW will just get rid again in 5 years.

I just finished painting the original prosecutors and I've got to say that this is a case where the new model is strictly worse than the old.

If it’s any consolation I also don’t like it either as it really doesn’t look good, especially if I wanted to include it in any of my Blood Bowl teams and it would look incredibly out of place alongside my ravening horde of Orcs & Goblins 👹 so thankfully I will not be worried about questioning if I need to have one in any of my games in the future 😊

If i get any of these, ill trim the ridge spikes off the helms. I agree...utterly horrible. The rest is good though.

It's stated in the article that there are 2 helms, a open faced one and a classic closed faced helm so it's a non-issue.

I am glad I am not the only one within a problem with the helms

the trident esc weapon looks a lot like an indian trishul which is an odd choice for stormcast's aesthetic.

Dunno, I actually liked the helmet, spikes and trident, don't have much problem with them. Looking at old Liberators and Prosecutors they look less refined to me then new version.

Are those supposed to be blue flames at the end of the wings? Since it them are burning downward and it looks completely wrong.

I think the main issue for me here is the skin-hugging nature of the helm. It makes it look really awkward. If they'd made the helm bigger and have it swamp the head more, it would not only look more authentic to the "spartan style helm" (there's a half-dozen names for them, since different city states had different helms and hemets that came in and out of vogue over the years), but it would also be a better stylistic choice in my opinion. Make the cheek guards cover more of the lower face, have the nose guard flare out more and drop down further, and you'd be golden. As for the trident, yeah I agree. It feels like an odd stylistic choice.

I don't like the helm, the shield or the trident. I like the wings actually wish they'd pushed the energy emerging from them harder

I don't like the crest of spikes either. Looks like there are some more at 90degrees to the main crest too. Don't like those either. Also not really a fan of the spikes on the wing joints either. Hopefully they can be scrapped off easily... Not that I'm actually planning to get them right now, but never say never. I don't mind the pose of the one they lead with, it's a bit like it's issuing a challenge.

Why trident instead of a spear with wings, crossguard or even a halberd?

Weird looking Raven Guard models from an alternate heresy... But if that is what GW wants to do.
