HELL-O EVERYONE! 😈 I’ve seen a lot of the same questions repeated in the comments, so I figured I’d answer some of them here: Q: Why were you all recast? A: There’s been a lot of speculation; that we couldn’t join the union, we can’t sing, or Amazon/A24 forced the re-hire… The simple answer is that Viv always wanted a Broadway cast and, when the show got picked up, she had the opportunity to get it! That’s show business, baby. No hard feelings. Q: Why isn’t Vaggie singing? A: We originally wrote a verse for her (after Cherri Bomb) that went “And, though it’s hard to say, hasta luego. Audios. Goodbye.” Monica Franco declined our request, but we still wanted to represent her, so we put a Vaggie in the background! Q: I thought Ed was the voice of Alastor? A: Ed was the speaking voice of Alastor in the pilot, I was the singing voice. We asked Ed to do the opening monologue, but he felt it might be a conflict of interest as he also voices Striker in Helluva Boss. Q: Did you go to the premiere? A: I was not invited to the premiere. I don’t think any of the original cast were. But we were all supporting from a distance! Q: Is this song official? A: No, this is a love letter from the OG cast to the fandom and the show! I’m not even sure Viv has heard it yet, but when/if she does, I hope she likes it! :-) Lastly, I really wanted to thank you all for the incredible outpouring of love and support we’ve received! The lyrics are so sad, because the message is clearly "we did our best, even if that wasn't perfect, and we're grateful for everything we got to experience", it kinda makes me think the OG VA's feel like they weren't "good enough" to make it to the final version of the series once it got big. But if you're reading this: you're the reason why it blew up in the first place. It couldn't have happened without you. You did well, and we love you. Thank you for giving a voice to the Hazbin hotel cast when it first began ❤

Honestly I would LOVE IT if y’all were given side roles in season two of Hazbin Hotel, Gryphon. All y’all deserve it

It gets to me how the song in itself sounds cheerful and catchy, but when you consider that it is not just a song for the purpose of the show, but the original voice actors giving their final performance and low-key addressing you, the audience, directly to say their goodbyes, it gets me all emotional. The original voice actors are the voices that brought about the hype and "cult status" this show has accumulated over the years. They played a large role in bringing the show to where it is today, so they deserve all the love and appreciation. Thank you so much, all of you!

@@aldrinmilespartosa1578 well first the og cast dont harbour any bad feelings for the new ones, and with company switches throughout production swapping cast members were bound to happen, and its pretty common with pilot episodes. Not saying its great but we have hazbin hotel, the cast while sad have other projects they get to work on. And they get to know the series they helped out is now a full fledged show!! Whether or not we hear them they will always be a part of this project, and hold a special place in our hearts, but dont count the new cast out or the show its gone through so much and i actually still like the voices for the new cast. Just give them a chance yk :>

I think these actors made the characters sound so unique. I had heard that the producers required all the actors to be in SAG due to legal stuff but they did seem to go full broadway with it. They could have at least kept Edward Bosco (Alistor), though… He’s in SAG.

It’s because (at least for me) it’s the first time hearing their voices. Don’t get me wrong, I love all the people in the new cast. But I know that when I watch the new show, I’m not going to hear “Vaggie”, I’m going to hear Stephanie Beatriz. I’m not going to hear “Husker,” I’m going to hear Keith David. I’m going to hear voices that I’ve heard in countless episodes of countless other shows and movies. And while I’m sure they’ll do an excellent job… it will still take me out of the moment. It will make me that much more aware that this is an actor reading from a script. And no matter how good an actor, or how good a script; that verisimilitude will shatter.

I LOVE ALASTORS VOICE SM AND ANGELS, THIS IS SO GOOD

Man, I just want to say that the Pilot cast was so much more than voices for the characters. The promotional work and podcasts they did (you know which podcast I mean, specifically) were such a comfort during 2020/2021, a bit of a reprieve from being on the minimum wage front lines. Everyone here is so amazingly talented, but more than that, so kindhearted and caring (even Bosco), that they can touch people's lives for the better without even knowing them. Absolutely wonderful, and I can't wait to see what they have next for us in their future projects.

If Hazbin Hotel were a Broadway musical, this would be it's closing number. The tiny callback to Insane is also just the cherry on top. The new VAs are great, but we will all miss you guys from the pilot.

The original cast was the reason so many of us stayed with the show and fandom for so long. Hazbin Hotel wouldn't be what it is today without them. Even with them being replaced in the official show, we'll always remember them as our og cast! Thank you original VAs, and goodnight!

Listened to this so much when it dropped, but it wasn't until I was listening to it at work that I noticed that and nearly had a fit 😂

I said this on X/Twitter, but this song feels like the original cast of a Broadway show giving one last encore before handing the reins over to a new cast to keep the show going. I can think of nothing more appropriate than that. Thank you, pilot cast, for all of the fun memories you gave me. I was a fan of some of you before I ever saw the pilot and became a fan of others afterwards. I hope to follow you all in your successful future endeavors.

Reading the description made me tear up again. Gabe, you brought the hotel to life with Alastor. He is the very face and voice we think of when we hear about the show. Alastor is an enimga; you elevated him to a huge level, giving him an amazing character. You can't help but keep coming back to that charming, cunning smile.

gosh finally decided to comment on this masterpiece, mainly just so I know I've been here. the old character designs themselves are already nostalgic, but it also feels so great to come back to where this show started in terms of the voices. gonna miss the pilot cast 😭

The OG cast paved the way for the pilot to succeed. Eternal damnation (inhell)? Nah, eternal gratitude (still inhell, lol). The pilot will always have that vintage feel to it 5 years later.

Charlie had me crying too, it just felt so emotional and like she herself was on the verge of crying.

Rest assured, us OG fans will always remember you all as the original cast! It's heartwarming to see such a positive display of camaraderie with the new Hazbin Hotel cast, and it's a sign of a professional to be able to bow out gracefully like this even though I'm sure it was just as disappointing for you as it was for us hearing that your characters had been recast. Having watched Season 1 I can say that while I was skeptical at first the new voice actors did a phenomenal job and I would encourage anybody who may be hesitant like I was to give the show a second chance! Everybody really put their heart and soul into it, but none of it would have been possible without all of you! Thank you, and goodnight!

this song is so beautifully written that it actually sounds like it belongs in the show, and sounds like the final song you would expect for the show. if this song or something similar isn't the finale, it wouldn't hit the same. this song is perfectly written to be a goodbye song. no wonder i can't get through it without crying.

Awwwww, this really hurts my heart. I think I'm gonna tear up seeing this. It hurt when we first found out that all of the original pilot cast where re casted. But it was all for an understandable reason. You guys no matter what will always be the pilot cast. You guys where the ones that started it all, and helped build the characters we all know and love. I always keep comign back to this and I watn to say just a big Thank you to all of you. A day after the Pilot came out, my sister died in a crash, and the day after that I found Hazbin, and it just helped so much and touched my heart, being funny, silly, uplifting, and also just a hope that my sis would end up with chars like yours in the show. You all touched my life, for that and for years so thank you.
