I regret to say I saw "Fer-de-Lance" (excruciating TVM best described as "Snakes On A Sub" but VERRRRY BORING) years ago... If you were in the market for "Murder, Mystery, Suspense" you'd be better off sitting the VCR for "Mannix" (Or, staying up if you didn't have a video!)
