@@A_Sen_0 No alimony or maintenance. We hired 1 lawyer, we both agreed on a settlement that she would pay me for certain assets due the source of the purchase came from USA funds. Otherwise, we both apppeared at Banglamung court. Signed waiver to each other. Signed the decree. I think the fee was around 2K baht. Then we were divorced. I received an English translation approximately 11 days later. Hope this helps.

This even happened twice to an acquaintance of mine. He financed a house for different women twice in a row and was then thrown out. Then he should promise me that he wouldn't spend money on it again, he told me he can very well promise me that, because he doesn't have any money anymore. But my pity is limited

There is no need to buy them out from the bar, this is a scam to get money from you. The more tattoos, the longer they work in the environment. Just use common sense.

You're both right to certain degree. The problem exist if the girl is scene with the same customer. Greed is everywhere. I have seen a guy take a longneck to the back of the head and not get up for the same scenario.

Correct. The bar owners smell opportunity and are crafty as f**k. Bar girls are brilliant, hot and fun but you have treat it as a game. If you gamble you play with money you can afford to lose & that should be how someone dates a bar girl. Give the impression that you're going along with stuff but never go over budget and be prepared to walk.

Hi Tom, great video as always, Thai bar girls are experts at the job they do, It is easy to get sucked in by their charm. My first visit to Pattaya was back in 2008 and luckily a friend who told me about Pattaya also gave me the book Private Dancer to read before my trip, I read that book twice before my trip and luckily survived thanks to reading Private Dancer. Advice to all first-time travelers to Pattaya read the book and listen to people like Tom who have been through a bad relationship with a bar girl, you will save yourself a lot of headaches and not get scammed. Once again Tom great video, looking forward to the next one. Take care brother.

I had another viewer mentioned that these books are 20+ years old and guys don’t read books anymore ha ha ha ha so I’m not sure. I’m hoping you can get these on electronic form.

It's actually not difficult to not get "played" in Pattaya. Maybe I was torn from a different cloth because I can sense it from a mile away. The problem is that a lot of these guys are not used to being "selected" by a beautiful young lady...they don't get any "action" in their perspective home country. So once they come here, all of a sudden they think they are hot shyt! LOL. On top of that, men usually think with their "dick" while women are typically more emotionally intelligent.

The bar girls are there for entertainment & problems start when "we" steer away from being entertained snd start to look for an actual monogomous relationship. Hell, even Thai girls who are not involved in the bar scene are not monogomous. Guys need to know the rules and stick to them or risk becoming another ripped off saddo.

They don't need to be bar-girls. Even the ones with straight jobs need money. They ALL need money because they are paid so little. Regardless of the job-category, if you play, you pay. I dated women exclusively with straight jobs, including one with a college education, all except one needed monetary help. I should have married the exception, but she ran off with a THAI man. (what a joke). Most women here are going to need some kind of monetary help. Deal with it. Stay away from the bar-girls.

The simple fact is most are working to take care their family. It doesn't matter whether the mother or the buffalo is sick, the money is most likely going to the same place. When I owned my bar; around 2300 every night the Thai Boyfriends would stop by and get money from their GF so they could go out.

Hi Tom, new sub here, this also happens with JV partners with Thai nationals..😂 End of the day, us men are really gullible to say the least, and the ladies know it too well.. But, if you have money to throw away, most of it goes to good use, not for ourselves but for the ladies and their families, they are extremely well taught in the mascaraed hahha.. And in the meantime, the guys get some good stories to tell and I am sure also have a wonderful time only if they keep their humor up and do not get depressed and angry, or indeed suicidal. What goes off and is spent in Thailand remains in Thailand😃

I'm 64 and from Texas. I've been through 2 bad relationships in America that cost me everything. So it's not just Thailand where you meet these type women. It's all over the world. I trust nobody now. No matter the type relationship, I give as much as the other person gives. I'm in Thailand shooting pool and having fun with the bar girls now. I spend about $100 a night. Once I spent $200. And that's taking a girl home with me each night. I always have a budget when I get here. And every night when I go out. Whether it's dining out or partying. I know the drill. It's my 5th time here. The girls ,and vendors that walk by, will suck you dry if you let them. I like helping people out when I'm here. It's actually part of the fun for me. But the pushy people get nothing from me. I think most of the girls in these bars are good girls. But most are in pattaya for a short time. And they have an agenda. Make as much money as possible while they are here. I think you were lucky to have 8 years with Nicky. I'm surprised she stuck around that long with everything in her name. Sorry it didn't work out. Most relationships around the world don't work out. One suggestion before I go. If you haven't been to Harlans restaurant in pattaya over on soi welcome street, you need to check it out! Harlan is a 5 star Michelin chef! I usually spend about $2,000 bhat when I'm there. That's with an appetizer, main course, dessert, and a few beers. It's a small place with casual attire. But the food is awesome! If you go with someone I suggest making a reservation. I saw in a previous video that you were with a beautiful woman , but shy, on the beach. Harlans would be a great dinner date for the 2 of you!

I love to be generous, but pushy vendors vendors with children are immediately eliminated from my stance within generosity. I think you for the recommendation on Harlans. Question . Are these guys new to the whole bar scene ? It’s the same thing in Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia etcetra. But it seems these guys fall in love here in Pattaya more than over there. I don’t understand why a guy would fall in love with a bar girl. It’s just business. You can be friends with them. You can enjoy spending time with them. What you can’t do is think you’re gonna rescue them. Or change their lives. This applies to single moms in the US. Or abused women or whatever. If you run around trying to play Captain Save a H O E you will just keep getting burned. I’ve been burned before. We all have. I just don’t know why these guys in their 50s who I assume have life experiences. Experience with women back home , don’t apply those lessons here. Think about it. They are selling you a story. A beautiful woman in paradise. Who doesn’t want that? But in reality they are selling you a timeshare. Most of wouldn’t buy a timeshare. Why would you buy this product offered here? If it f^cks, flies , or floats , RENT IT!!

I think most of them fall under the spell 1: cause these girls are damn good and can see prey a mile away 2: loneliness, depression, sad, horrible divorce, and general need for human connection that can be hard these days to find for most older guys in western places that have become out of shape and haven’t kept care of themselves. They get a glimmer of attention after what may be possibly years of no girl even looking them in the eyes and it’s easy to be snared. I was lucky for the internet being here before my first trip and some solid channels telling all the things to beware and be careful. I met a girl off tinder and still almost fell for her. Had to leave one morning when I realized I was really starting to like her. She wasn’t even a bar girl (or as far as I could tell. 24 (I’m 40) no tattoos, doesn’t smoke or vape, hardly drinks, no kids, no sick family and never asked me for a penny… but who knows if I don’t live there 12 months a year what would be going on while away so had to go. I don’t struggle for women in the states. Washboard abs and all my hair, flashy car and all that. But, some girls know what do to and say to hit the nail square on. Happy trails my friend

Picking up a prostitute in the red light district 😂 what could go wrong... My take getting with anyone in Pattaya looking for love and a relationship will always be a massive risk no matter what they do for a living. Nightlife or something else. It's not normal for any young lady to get with an older man. If you think you're out of her league then that's a problem. Most are professional con artists and will take you to the cleaners even if it takes years and years to get what they want

Living in Thailand, I feel like I’ve seen it all. Sitting in bars in Pattaya, I feel like I’ve heard it all. I’ve mentioned this before that only one percent of the Thai female population doesn’t want monetization out of a relationship. I feel like I’ve been fortunate to be on both sides of that relationship in Thailand. My best advice is to take relationship slow. Most relationships don’t develop in one or two days here.

Pretty girl who seems genuine, but only wants you for what she and her family can benefit from you. Sounds like the girl Nabi I met there. Minus the tattoos. Was her second day there. I said “yeah right” and she pulled her 10 year old or older phone out and went to the camera roll and showed me the van that came to pick her up to go. And her clothes she had on. She wasn’t kidding she was brand new and still had the innocence about her. I have a photo of her looking out the window of the condo that explains it all so perfectly. @Margaritas In Paradise Jesus Tom! Appreciate you for sharing your story. I know this could not happen to you now that you have some experience. I've been around most of Asia. I am an older guy that likes younger women. The thing is I have known red flags from the get-go. I never bother to look for a second one. I never commit, financially or otherwise. I play their game and when a red flag comes up, I'm done. First of all, I would never buy something and put it in someone else's name, the sob stories about parents, family etc. are a no no for me. I never picked up girls in bars but in shopping malls or businesses. Single and no children. If the subject of money comes up ( talking longer term) I tell them straight up, that their quality of life can be good if they enjoy my company, if not they can find someone else. I try to find girls with same interests and I do love the street food markets and swimming and traveling and of course I will pay for that. Buying them expensive thing is out of the question. Putting them on an allowance is not happening, I don't want to hear about any money problems. If it turns out to be short time, well that means that it would have never worked out long time, so we had a good time short time. Next. I spent 7 years setting up dates with Asians. They had to have a job not associated with the bar industry, they had to have a place of their own and no children. I was looking for an Asian in her early 30's that can speak good English, that is attractive to me, that is a good communicator, that has a good heart and that can cook good Thai, Chinese or Korean food. I went through about 150 girls and could not find one with all those things that I was looking for but I had a good time. In my experience, Philippinas are the most loyal and don't ask for much. My problem is that I don't like Philippina food. I don't know how many I picked up in the shopping malls. And they really appreciate the small things you do for them. Of course you have scammers but most of them are not. I'll be coming to Thailand and get a condo with a swimming pool and a gym, close to the Pattaya Night Street food market. And I will be looking for a girl and possibly meet her at the market. I've been following your common sense comments for a while and hope we can meet up and exchange some war stories, Maybe you can guide me through the visa process. I suppose I can look you up at Leos.

It's crazy about this subject, the idea these books being listed in electronic versions. The guy in the Thumb is me, I didn't post a pic of Brett due to his privacy. He is though roughly 60 years old.

i almost can't believe what i just heard!! after 8 years of a relationship! property in her name, business in her name, living that quality life, she runs back and get bar fined! after 8 years? i really feel sorry for you. stories like this usually happen within weeks or maybe a month but, after 8 F** years.

I had a friend tell me once, You can take the girl out of the bar but you'll never take the bar out of the girl. I laugh about that now. Hopefully it's not true.

Unfortunately it happens to a lot of people. I was pretty successful in the past with women and this even happened to me but that's just the way it goes we live and learn.

Chase bar girls, gogo girls, massage girls and you won't have a Thai girlfriend. In the end you'll be thankful. There's no commitment from me or her.

She may have been working at that bar for two days…question is how long has she been in Pattaya But you still need to be careful with ladies who aren’t bar/massage ladies. If they go out clubbing with friends a lot. If they are on Thai Friendly, it could be that’s how they make extra money… Good rule of thumb is if they have conservative dating habits…

So many falangs stay in Thailand and date a variety of woman yet do not actually know a real Thai woman and their culture and more. its the reason there is many channels that immerse themselves in the real Thailand with real Thai people

Oh good lord..... Yep, heard that same story many times (far too often). I took a co-worker of mine to Pattaya (his first time) and literally within a few hours he became (what I call) "vagina blind" and hooked up with this attractive girl exclaiming "she's different" and "she really likes him". Well I looked at him, pulled him to the side and gave him two (what I believe to be) good pieces of advice #1- consider yourself a "walking ATM"... one to be used for the extraction of money! #2- "When your in an orchard, don't just pick one apple". Thanks for sharing your story and explaining what could possibly happen. You weren't the first and certainly won't be the last. I think your video and those like it do a great job and at least attempt to educate and make people more aware and try to make good decisions, but then again "you can lead a horse to water......." Aloha brother.... 🤙

Luckily I only spent, what I could afford whilst on holiday. Had a good time, so no harm done. None of this sponsorship nonsense, they did try though.😊

That’s going to be a hard call. I think it’s gonna probably depend on where you meet. Or what kind of lifestyle they currently have.

they can freely quit and there is nothing to pay unless perhaps (long shot) there is debt bondage aka human trafficking which is a low probability. tattoos are in fashion more so among the lower socio-economic class (most of them come from) so they may have it even before working in bars. he'd be expected to support her if she stops working and lord knows what that entails.

Clive, I'm guessing at this point but there's a 99% chance there's more to the story.

I'd say 95% of girls in Thailand is that way like your ex. You have to understand everything is a business agreement 🤝 when it comes to girls there is no love. Or the 5% maybe but you may as well wish for some millionaire girl gonna come and sweep you off your feet and take care of you your whole life cuz that's not happening

Bar Fined is a term used when an employee of the bar wants to leave the bar for a period of time. The employee, is normally a salary worker. The barfine is a small amount of money that will reimburse the bar for that portion of the employees salary. Theres lots of variation this but that's basics.

Not only in Thailand I spent my life savings on a Cuban never again.

Exactly I was laughing and crying at the same time.

Just started working at the bar, first bar fine, just started drinking, doesnt want to work in bar, has sick mother, sister in school, father in the fields and last but not least, she loves him right away and can't love without him. Then to boot, he believes her and doesnt want her working in the bar. You couldnt have a more scripted scenario for disaster. Good grief. Your buddy needs to slow his roll and learn about this kind of stuff before he is bankrupt. It wont take long by the sounds of it.
