THAI TOWN FOOD TOUR | Must Try in Sydney - Boat Noodles, Pad Kee Mao, Tom Yum, Sticky Rice, Desserts
HOW GREAT IS THAI FOOD? I'm thinking about heading to Bangkok for a holiday next year, so I thought why not get the party started and explore the best food in Thai Town in Sydney! This place is just a gold-mine for good Thai food, and there's way too many good places and foods to try to fit it all into one video.
So there definitely might be a part two next year. Let me know if you want to see it!

My mum's Thai, my favourite dishes are rhad na, nam tok or kai pa lo. Besides Pad Thai, these are Thai staples.
You don't often see it, but khao soi from northern Thailand is awesome; a Thai version of laksa with a topping of onions and mustard pickles. A couple of places in Newtown do it, but keep an eye out for it elsewhere for your part 2!

You're 100%, way too many dishes to try!!! A lot of Thai food is great to share, so it's hard to make a video like this as a single eater as you're slightly limited to what you can order. I might go harder on the eating next time to fit more 😄
That $6 boat noodle (opposite Yok Yor) you wanted to try was $4 for a very long time until recently.

Nice video man, tried most of them myself, but how in the hell you did not go to Boon Cafe man. They are a couple of blocks away from Khaosan. You badly missed out man. Make it good and do a sequel. I love your chanel bro you rock!
Part 2 plz can't wait to hear more about "My butt doesn't like this later "😂😂
I always have trouble telling where Chinatown ends and Thai town begins as it is always a mix of Thai and Chinese restaurants throughout George street.
Doodee Lava…. Big mistake for me. Doodee Nursery ever since ;) good for shift worker like me. Keep it up! Mr Optometrist. Just saw ur article today in SMH. Good job!
Pad Si Ew used to be my favorite dish. Now I am a grown man and want to stay in shape so I try to eat it once in a month. LOL.

If you want a taste of Teochew Chinese food, go to any thai restaurant. The Hor Chaw, Cha Kue Tio See Ew, Kue Jap, etc is always a reminder of my ancestors food.

Love Thai food, You do great work. The only Sydney Influencer I trust. I live n the Central Coast but I want to try You Yor just on your recommendation.,,, One other thing Is there such a dish as Gai Kap Pao - Chicken with mint leaves - in Sydney? Used to eat it daily when I. lived in the US? Also General Tso’ Chicken is a favorite. Miss that dish do they do this in Sydney?
@SydneyFoodBoy

Hey David! Thank you for the kind words! I'm sure I've seen it on menus somewhere, and Thai Town definitely sounds like the place to find it. Even if it's not on menu, I feel like you could ask for it as a special and the chefs would cook it for you! I haven't tried General Tso's chicken, I don't think I've seen it in Sydney but I'll let you know if I ever do. I'd love to try it in the US!
Anyone near Cabra, you should try Pak Soi Street Food. Their beef boat noodles is the best I have had in Sydney. I personally like it with egg noodles and without liver. They have other good dishes too. Other than that place, I rather Laos food.

I have heard of Thai Town & I have walked right through there oblivious vaguely looking for Thai Town, which is maybe because I don't understand it - Pad Kee Mao - I have never ever heard of it but now I will be looking out for it & boat noodles - I walk past a lot of places as I don't understand the dishes. The Thai dessert place existed before I left Sydney 9 yrs ago & now I have been back over a yr. For me it was a very good informative video
