Thai exotic greenery is a family-owned nursery in Thailand with insanely large growing facilities focusing on rare aroids. It is difficult to imagine that just 4 years ago, these sprawling facilities grew only orchids.
We spend some time discussing anthuriums, which is hands down the most sought-after genus in the plant trade today. Por share his gorgeous, diverse, and ambitious anthurium collection that he has gathered from all over the world - ranging from dark-leafed, to variegated and mint anthuriums. We look at his hybridizing efforts as well as plans to mass-produce these rare anthuriums so they become affordable for collectors like ourselves.
In the middle of the episode, we obsess over the many forms of Philodendron gloriosum that he has collected throughout the world.

I love those pink (38:55) I missed the name tag. They look so delicate like lace with pink blush from the center. I imagine a boudoir filled with them and all d pink purple a d red leafed plants would make an afternoon tea (cold pomegranate raspberry) so dainty ...❤😂

4:15 SAME! I started with orchids and also found it VERY easy to pick up anthuriums as they are very similar. If anything I find my philos harder to take care of than my Queen anthurium. I've killed every cactus I've owned. Go figure.

Whoaaaaaa interesting… maybe they thrive in similar conditions. Most people dont know that orchids and anthuriums like slightly cooler temp.

I believe its mostly coco chips (made with coconut husks) with some amendments

there is something wrong with shipping to Europe! for example, for a 20 usd plant, the shipping cost is 282 usd

International shipping can be expensive 🥹 this is what the courier charges for air shipping something, and also some handling fee for exports. Usually people buy thousands of dollars worth if plants to make it worthwhile 🥹

In Australia you can import the tissue culture plants I heard… as they are sterile
