As a fully grown man I realised that you can disagree with your Idol without losing the love for aspects you agree with him on. Triabalism is a Big factor in South Africa and the first of many steps against it is, acknowledgement. And Mbeki as a wise old man should have known better than to make reckless factional remarks in a tribalistic ANC province. Other than political correctness and kumbaya, there is no evidence to contradict my assertion of tribalism within the ANC Eastern Cape. Listening to this man is refreshing, there is actual intellectual capacity. the problem is that these are just words. I’m glad he is back and contributing to admitting there is a problem but it’s too little too late. The ANC has lost its way and proof was that 3 years into power they recognised there was a problem but they did not act. 27 years later the problem still exists and there is still no action all at the expense of South Africans who are held hostage by what was once a glorious movement. I don’t think the ANC can be renewed, to be renewed it needs to prune and so far it has time and time again shown it is indecisive and lacks execution of its own decisions.

Mbeki created the biggest black diamonds in his life time of presidency during his tenure. This was in the form of making sure most unemployed graduates were given an opportunity to work for both public and private sector with merits with no nepotism involved or being judged on your surname when applying for a job or having to return a favor by sleeping with someone or putting a brown envelope under the table to get a job. The problem with ruling party is playing with the hearts of the poor and the marginalised at the expense of the black middle and upper middle class forgetting that any economic power and development of any state lies in the hands of middle and upper middle class. Instead all you hear when ANC is speaking is poor blaah-blaah etc what is in for middle & upper middle class who have sacrificed and work so hard to be where they are? This are the missing vote of confidence unfortunately none of opposition parties makes any positive impression for them either...

Only FAIR AND JUST structures can solve problems. ONLY fair and just structures are effective for long time. If I was a ANC veteran I will start by evaluating our structures before I mention any name. As long as structures are like "'this'' I expect accusations and counter accusations .

I really miss President Mbeki. Everything pretty much went downhill in 2009 when he was replaced. We wish for a government that will walk the walk and not just talk the talk. How many individuals has seen jail time since all the corruption of various individuals (Still in power by the way) have been exposed by the Zondo-Commission? ZERO..... At least "Mr. Ten Percent" is facing criminal charges. Weather he will see any jail time however remains to be seen....

Unfortunately we need the ANC to collapse. The people will not change, they will not self correct. The corruption runs in all ranks, all departments, all SOE’S. If we allow ANC to continue, South African will become like Nigeria, nothing works without corruption and we can’t have that.

The the Presidency that he did not campaign for took away the loadshedding extended the life expectancy of the people with chronic diseases, it extended the number of student accessing universities, it expedited the country's budden of debt, visa versa the administration that he campaigned for brought back the loadshedding, it has taken away a billion from NSFAS funding reducing the number of students accessing universities, it has brought us back to 500b plus more debt in its early years of administrative authority. what we should expect from this administration (that he campaigned for) from now on?

I disagree Mr. Mbeki Sir. The ANC is too comfortable and is taking its supporters and this nation for granted. They need to feel the consequences doing so by losing. Maybe that will actually motivate to reevaluate how they govern and take affirmative action against corruption. So I'm #Don'tVoteANC

I partly support your point, the Challenge is that ANC LED GVT has caused a lot of damage that a New Elected Party Committed to Restore Good Governance would most possibly Fail n Ousted out, because a New Party would be honest no Chance to Loot, but to provide Services to the people, n not offer Free Monies to the Disadvantaged but to create Employment etc, then ToyiToyis l destroy everything n ANC comes in again.
