The same thing happened to me. I've known it existed for years, and I would get it on my tt fyp, but I refused to watch/ read it. Then, a year ago, I decided to finally learn about the fandom, and now I've been drawn into tgcf & mdzs. (I'm still sad, Fengqing & BeefLeaf aren't canon 😞) Also, I have the books. And it's an emotional roller-coaster, but I highly recommend them!!
