the history of one iconic red bus the 1930 AEC Regent One.
The AEC Regent I was a bus chassis introduced by AEC in 1929. Twelve pre-production examples had been completed by July 1929, with mainstream production commencing in October 1929.
It was succeeded by the AEC Regent II in 1942.

FUN FACT:
Nationwide was a BBC current affairs television programme which ran from 1969 until 1983. Originally broadcast on BBC 1 from Tuesday to Thursday, and then each weekday from 1972, it followed the early evening news, and included the regional opt-out news programmes.

    ST922 . A number of the London Tilling Buses went to Tilling owned Brighton Hove and District after 1933 when LT found it had too many (older) double deck buses.

    When it arrived, of course, no one knew there would be a Regent 2,3,4 and 5. So it was just an AEC Regent! Another Regent from 1931 has been fully restored and resides at the Transport Museum Wythall just south of Birmingham. kzread.info/dash/bejne/aItpx5auoMS8gqQ.html
