@@heyimhereonyt Yeah the update in Australia worked for a day but then yesterday reached the worst i've seen it in a while. servers had like 7 bots in it spamming chat and the mic. Additionally we now have bots who use voice clips from a real person to trick players into thinking they are a real person.

The medic healing you after the YER backstab is a property of the YER itself - if you kill a heal target, you replace him entirely, and the heal beam is transferred onto you.

The Valve Demoman bots are insane, I had a sentry nest and a demo shot stickies over two walls, max distance, into the sky, and landed it perfectly between my dispenser and sentry. That bot destroyed everything from a mile away

You can’t do matadors or corner stabs because of the auto camera following your hitbox, but normally you can do other ones. I play against easy bots for stairstab practice because I still can’t get the timing right.

Have you tried killing a Medic while the Medic was healing a teammate? On the Expert difficulty, I backstabbed the Heavy's Medic and at that moment, the Heavy reacted so quickly he turned around 180 degrees and killed me. That Heavy bot also had an angry look on his face cause I killed his Medic. Bots are sort of savages sometimes.

Fun note: when I was a new player I would play the practice mode as spy on easy bots, if you backstab someone with the Your Eternal Reward even with 5 or more bots witnessing you they will not even flinch if you backstab one of there teamates

Expert bot spies will hunt you down as soon as anyone on the team knows you are a spy. Even if you are invisible they will find you and gun you down.

Touching them, even when invisible makes them actually feel something physically in the game which players of course can't. Player: *touches a bot while being an invisible Spy* Bot: "Spy!"

Due to where I live, and due to the fact that there are a few extra people in my house until further notice, the best time I have good connection for multiplayer is at night/very early morning, so most of the time I am playing with training bots. Heres a few things I’ve seen -enemy medics are either evasive geniuses who can always find a way to get away from you, or stand completely still in one spot while you call for them, while you’re dying. The enemy medic is always ready to retreat, while your medic will charge alone into two soldiers, a pyro and a heavy, while missing all of his shots - medics will sometimes stand in one spot in spawn and look around in circles and stay there, no matter how many times you call them -demos have the ability to get within a certain distance of a enemy sentry out of its view and will aim skyward AND PERFECTLY MORTAR STICKIES INTO THE SENTRY NEST ABOVE ANY OBSTACLES BETWEEN THEM -sniper and spy bots are the only bots to melee if you are within melee range -pyros /sometimes/ have perfect airblasts, even if they are not directly facing you - bots will stand at lvl 1 teleports and wait for it to teleport them. Nothing will get them to move. If it’s a medic doing this, no amount of low health and calls will budge him - snipers will be watching a battle, take a teleport to that battle, and then immediately walk back to where they first were. Repeat this several times - snipers immediately headshotting you as soon as you round a corner (not too frequent, but it happens) -bots will sometimes retreat back to spawn after the first cap (even if they are fully/over healed and have plenty of ammo) this makes rushing a unprepared point difficult -engies will always turtle. ALWAYS.

Also I almost forgot - medics also sometimes pocket the fuck out of you, even if the rest of your team is dying. There have been times where I would be rocket jumping around the map and the medic would chase me down no matter where I went. When medics do this, it leads to the rest of our team getting mowed down -engies will straight up start building sentries in the middle of fire fights. You will be fighting him, among a few others, and he’ll just plop down a sentry and start setting it up. I will try my hardest to destroy it because I know for a fact that my team won’t be able to at all

Toaster computer gives me about 20 max and cranks it down to 10-15 when i get near other players and sometimes down to 0 when i die (frozen screen and hearing my own death sound repeated 10 times before it unfreezes) If you cant tell i am very jealous.

Honestly when I first tried TF2 and did the bot mode (on EASY) the bots were actually really good players (I mean I sucked back then but still) and I was terrified. After getting to like level 15 or something I decided to try it out again and only realized how REALISTICALLY they play? Like? I was so extremely convinced they were actually real players??

I love it when you play scout and you spam e and the medic bots have some script saying not to heal the scunt. So 10/10 AI intellegence.

"Why would he shoot me there, i didn't bump into anyone" Well that's a perfect simulation of real player spy checking, just randomly spy check everything.

Heavy's expert bot have a very nice aim.

My theory is that valve bots have a *restricted* aimbot. As in, their sensitivity for flicking is turned wayy down so they don't instant headshot you, but there are given full aimbot for like half a second when you bump them, that's why that sniper only shot you once when you were fully cloaked.

The one bot that stays the same for every difficulty is Engineer, still runs in circles and shoots in random directions in panic if his Sentry is destroyed

TF2's easy bots are like "everyone' s drunk" mode (except demo, he's sober in that case)

The reason why soldier knows you're a spy is POSSIBLY a reference to meet the spy when the soldier shoots his own teammate spy for no reason

I remember raging at bots when they stole my metal even though they weren’t engineers.

I remember when I was new and played on upwards with the offline bots on medium difficulty. I played as engineer and had a sentry set up on the first point and it got 57 kills until the mach ended because blu couldn't destroy my friken sentry. On a casual server, everyone is gonna want to take that sentry down but these bots just ignore it and trow themselves in front of it.

For the valve bots, if they see you disguise for example a scout. They will know you are a spy unless you disguise into another class

I think your enternal reward is just that when you backstab you are instantly disqusied in code but particale effects are playing but bots just see you disqusied

I’ve seen medic follow bots go around that are basically the same thing as the ones valve made. they heal you if you scream “MEDIC” (like, always. even if they aren’t facing you.) They’ll have a weird movement scheme, and Uber if you use the “charge me” command, which most medics don’t do for some reason.

By the way when you play spy and get hit, you just cant go invisible to that person anymore, because the bot just knows

When you play offline you cannot play spy THEY WILL ALWAYS KNOW IF YOU ARE A SPY if they dont figure it out first thing they will eventually figure you out

The difficulties pretty much just adjust the bot's reaction time, but there are some small changes in actual programming though, such as the noted fact that easy bots will NOT pick sniper or spy, and also how well they track spies- at higher difficulties they'll also call you out, alerting nearby bots to hunt you down until the one who spotted you dies, and interestingly on expert enemy spies can track you after you turn invisible for a few seconds. Though spy vs. Spy is so rare a situation you probably won't notice. Also, yes, it is just a timer for them to see through your disguise and shoot you anyways, this shortens as you raise difficulty.

6:10 I'm pretty sure that is works via a timer and once it finishes one bot near you becomes aggressive, but idk

Fun fact: If you go into medieval mode, add bots, BLU will capture the points, and RED will just go to one singular spot all game until the gate opens, then they will defend.

The only thing that is hard is spy is that when you are invisible they yell “there’s a spy around here” anyways when they haven’t even seen you.

Sweet editing throughout

That soldier shooting you down as a Spy at the start was triggered by you taking splash damage when his rocket hit (or missed) someone else. Since you took damage, the Soldier's programming recognised you as a disguised Spy, so he switched his focus to you. Also, once a bot knows you're a Spy, it will remember until you change your disguise.

I love valve bots, just because when they are on easy mode they look pretty cute

I've dabbled with the offline TF2 bots and noticed quite a bit of stuff while playing Spy: Who ever sees you whether it's a bump, blink, or in-process-disguise will always remember what disguise you had. At that point it's best to change disguise in general. They will still know you're a Spy if you redisguise back to the old one that got caught in the first place. Enemy Spies will see through cloak if you cloak in their line of sight, often chasing you while fully invis. This still applies to the Dead Ringer. Speaking of cloak, there is a delay before they untrack you when you fully go invis (and like mentioned, enemy Spies are an exception). They react to backstabs immediately. The Eternal Reward only gives you a slight advantage with their detection time.

I remembered that the old version of tf2 has harder bots no matter if you put it in easy or not. like pyros camping your spawn area and hunts for any prey to kill. if you are disguised as a spy, one of the enemy mercenary would know you're a spy just by making eye contact for some reason. there are no snipers,and spies, which is a good sign. But sometimes we get a trio of demomans, soldiers, scouts, and pyros. If you cloaked somewhere as a spy, one of the bots would spot you somehow. Also, they have some weaknesses like: - bots would kill a sentry with a long range weapon mostly using their secondary, but they don't seem to watch their surroundings, which is a good opportunity to kill one of them. - when you bumped into one of them while cloaked or disguised. They don't seemed to care at all.

Spy bot backstabs you in the kill feed. Kill Cam zooms halfway across the map to show the enemy spy re-cloaking. "WHAT DA *FUCK* WAS THAT"

fun fact: if you are playing spy and bots find out you area a spy, you will be marked as a spy to all bots on the enemy team, and you will stay marked unless you disguise as another class out of sight or cloak to an out of sight area. this also happens to spy bots too. (Via tf2 wiki)

I could get a kick out of bumping snipers as a cloaked spy and seeing how they react.

1 thing in common of valve bot is. They can see you in every angle, they have attack delay upon spotting and this delay will removed on highest difficulty(Apply to all Valve game)

I'm pretty sure bots react to your eternal reward stabs when you bump them just before the stab

Enemy Spy bots will stalk you while you're cloaked if all enemy bots are spies and one saw you uncloak for a second

It's not so much that they knew where you were while under cloak, it's just that they shot in the direction where they last saw you going when you blinked.

There's a third type of bot. Spawned with console commands, they have no AI and are basically just puppets.

Bots have absolutely zero spy awareness until: 1. You bump them 2. You activate a disguise while seen 3. You cloak (but not decloak) with any watch except the dead ringer 4. You sap something while seen (including the far end of a teleporter.) If anybody sees a sapper, they will all call spy but only one or two will shoot you.

These bots are pretty fun, wildly different than casual players though Enemy spies can ALWAYS see through your disguise, but don't tell anyone As soon as 1 bot finds out you're a spy [other than a spy bot] EVERY bot knows and you have to switch disguise when you're able to they always remember your last 2-3 disguises if they ever see you, so I rotate pyro, engi, sniper, and occasionally spy Not everything means you're a spy, you can get healed by both teams, and take both teleporters, you can touch enemy buildings, but if you're seen undisguised, ever sap something, touch one of them, or stab a person, and 1 bot has you in their FOV AT ALL, the entire [living] enemy team knows they don't care if you walked out of your spawn looking like one of them, and they don't care about clones and the YER makes it a lot easier, because their engineers are WILDLY more powerful than the rest of them, so you can stab an engi, and half the time, get away with it they have INSANE cloak tracking Their snipers always go for bodyshots, too, their headshots are [mostly] accidental

Not really accidental sometimes they really doing good in headshot. One Vbot Sniper killed me when I just jumping from rooftop in nucleus and the bastard taunting but killcam shows he was killed by Pyro))).

I played with bots for a short time when I first start playing a game (csgo, tf2, l4d2, etc) to get a feel for how the game plays and to figure out basics. Then I jump into a multiplayer game.

So here are several obervations about bots (expert bots because that is all I play against) - If you are a spy and one enemy find out, the entire enemy team will know you are a bot. - Engineer bots take priority with metal over if their sentry is being sapped. - Enemy spies have wallhacks if you are a spy, so even if you are cloaked they will follow you. - Bots will occasionally make a large push forward on defense depending on how well the player is doing. - Bots will only really rush the point full on when the time is almost out (kind of like actual players). - If you are playing sniper, the bots will take priority on focusing you. - Medics bots will only uber when damaged or if the bot/player they are healing takes damage. - Bot pyros are frame perfect with airblasts. - Engineer bots can literally be inside their sentry. - It is possible to trickstab bots when not disguised (heavies are the easiest). - Demos can perfectly land stickies on a sentry as long as their is an open path. They have tunnel vision when doing so. - (Last observation) Never get in a gun fight with a bot spy unless you have the upper hand.

The reason the bots attacked you while you were disguised was because you were disguised as them. And they don’t lose track of you being a spy until you disguise as someone else.

You’ve never dealt with expert spies, they WILL follow you no matter what

That time we are doing offline practice with custom weapons equipped during all King of the Hill maps (e.g. koth_2fort_sgcv1, koth_brickyard, koth_lazarus).

So, as a guy who's into mapping and test maps with bots, can clarify a couple of things: - Bots never spycheck; - If you cloak in front of them, they'll declare you as a spy; - If you cloak and still being a target of some of bots, they're still able to see you for 1-1.5 seconds of spare, then loose sight; - They don't give a fuck about decloaking. At all; - Spybots see you through disguise and cloak; - The only tactic the spybot has is just decloaking anywhere they want and go straight up bumping into people. After 1 seconds of just bumping into you, they'll hit you with a knife. They don't care if it's going to be a backstabb or not. If they fail to kill, they'll retreat, covering themselves up with their gun; - Snipers basically never miss on hard and expert, but still have huge delay before they fire; - You can force Medics to give you Uber by using voice commands "Go! Go! Go!" and "Give the Uber"; - Engineers never upgrade, never repair nor remove the sapper from their teleporter; - Engineers will always put dispenser behind and sentry in front of him, and never leave the nest until they're out of metal, sentry is destroyed or they're dead; - Heavys never use sandwich. Disgusting; - Scouts never use double jump. No bot will use jumping as maneuver to dodge, only for climbing on slightly higher ground; - If bots are given item which has recharge bar, either through plugins or other ways, they'll always use it immediately once bar reached 100%; - Robots in MvM use exact same AI as these guys with only exception being engineer not being able to put dispenser.

I would always go into spectator and spawn all kinds of stuff for the bots to fight. Like in gmod.

thing about soldier that value coded, they KNOW when your spy, if you get behind them they turn around and shoot at you, even on easy.
