It's The Your Eternal Reward's Silent Killer stat that makes Engineers corpse invisible, Sometimes your cosmetics or weapons does not clock properly. You can see the rag doll fades away

I remember watching a video and the person said that each class' version of the shotgun has a different ID and a class can only hold a multi-class weapon with their version's ID, which is why sometimes you can't pick up a multi-class weapon even tho the class can equip it

An explanation of the first person mode for those of you who don't understand. The heads up display not only gives you information about your health and ammo, but it also renders your arms in front of your face and renders your actual body invisible to yourself. This makes playing the game much less jarring, and the command Vorobey used turned off his hud arms and turned on his third person rendition instead, so he was seeing his model like everyone else is.

Yerp, and this was a relic in place from the days that VR was first introduced and demo-d on tf2. I almost forgot about it tbh.

TF2 in VR sounds real fun, but it gets very motion sickly very quickly. Hope you get all the challenges this video, Voro!

I use cl_first person all the time. It works really well with every class except sniper and spy. Gets you normal gameplay, but different view. Oh, and demo wields sticky launcher with 2 hands in that mode.

I absolutely love playing TF2 like that, i've gotten so used to it that for some reason the default first person mode legit makes me dizzy.

My guess is that the first person world model command was used for the currently broken TF2 VR mode that was released when the original Oculus Rift DK1 came out. When you looked down in VR, you would be able to see your own body, exactly how the command does!

I subscribed nearly immediately, I watched like 2 videos before I decides "yeah, this guy is fun to watch"

My favorite thing to do is just play around using cl_first_person_uses_world_model 1 it's pretty fun even if it doesn't change much.

When the pandemic hit i rewatched all the star and Jerma tf2 videos again… they were my idols back in 5th grade, and it’s sad that star doesn’t enjoy making many videos anymore, but Jerma has actually been consistent since those days and during the pandemic he gained a big following again. cl_firstperson_uses_worldmodel was added when Valve made TF2 compatible with VR (Which was a long time ago and I am not sure if you can still play TF2 in VR), since viewmodels would work poorly with VR so they made it use your worldmodel (How you look in thirdperson) instead.

That Star_ video back in the day is how I found out about this command too, I sometimes go back to watch through his old catalogue for nostalgia.

The thing about how you lost the first challenge is that, when you took fall damage right before the two pyros caught up to you, you might have actually been able to escape if you had your dead ringer up since fall damage does trigger its effects.

"cl uses first person world model" is some leftover code from the official VR port for TF2 which died in development, that's why it looks like that.

Imagine being a trolldier just chilling on Hightower and having fun til some random guy joins and taunts/spams ez on every kill

I always loved how tf2 lets you assist your own self getting backstabbed

if there's any visual anomaly (like the first person command where you can't see your body, or when some players become invisible for you) you can type in console: record fix;stop;snd_restart;hud_reloadscheme it might freeze you for a few seconds depending on your device, but that's one way to fix it without dying or restarting the match

Hry Vorobey, for the next challenge vid, can you try a loadout I called "Powerknight"? It consists of the pyro class having the degreeser, thermal thruster (jetpack), and the sole reason why it's named "Powerknight", the Powerjack. The rules are pretty simple. No usage of the flamethrower for killing. Airblast, extinguishing and reflecting are all allowed. All of your kills will be with the Powerjack and you can use the thermal thruster to get around more quickly. With the amount of times the powerjack will random crit, it's a sudo market gardener paired with the thermal thruster. Your goal is to get a 5 streak or a 10 streak as a bonus goal

I play soldier with this firstperson a lot, it just feels so cool

To fix character model and lag animations that happen, type in record demo, enter, then type in stop enter in console to fix it. Works wonders.
