Texas Search and Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 2005. TEXSAR's carefully screened and professionally trained base of more than 200 active volunteers support emergency management, law enforcement, fire departments and other first responders across Texas during times of emergency. Deploying at the request of the Governor; local, state and federal emergency response agencies; and relief organizations, TEXSAR responds on a moment's notice around the clock. There is never a charge for TEXSAR's services.
