1. HYPNOTIC DONUT

CANADIAN HEALTHCARE: Take a Long John-shaped donut & dip in maple icing and evenly spread it across the top. Add a strip of bacon.
GUERILLA WARFARE: Roll out chocolate dough and cut into a rectangle. Mash a banana on top of it. Top with peanuts. Fold over into a square and chop the dough. Fold it over again, forming a log and roll it out to smooth. Cut into even pieces. Pound them to flatten into circular shapes. Place in the proofer for 10 minutes. Remove from the proofer and fry. Glaze. Decorate with banana and chocolate swirl

John can be regular addition to the channel. He is a great guy. He is just there for food and happy to be doing it with his best friend. That guy has no intention of social media followers or fame. He is just there to enjoy food like us. ❤️

As a Canadian myself, that maple bacon donut would be even better if they made it with a maple glaze instead of a line of maple syrup on top of the bacon, I think, but that did look really good! My favourite was the same as John's, that poutine; definitely agree with the owner on a brown gravy instead of the white though!
I thought I should scroll down and leave a comment to make sure you knew how much I enjoyed you having John on this episode. Apparently, I was not alone in this thought. I hope some day you guys make a trip over the border to see your Canadian neighbors, and try some more of our cuisine. I think this was my new favorite episode. So thank you both for that.
John was probably the best guest you’ve had! Love how he’s not hungry for fame on social media but he’s down to eat a 10 pound Philly cheesesteak!

Sonny, while you're in the US can you do an episode including native american food? Oklahoma has a lot of places you could go try foods that became staples after colonization, like fry bread, indian tacos, grape dumplings. It would also be cool to compare those foods to truly indigenous foods, I know some chefs in the US are working very hard to bring back native food that would've existed before colonization and it would be cool to see the comparison :-)

As a French Canadian, I love poutine with a very unhealthy obsession! There are so many variants, it's simply limited by one's imagination! One of the best I've tasted was made with french fries and cheese curds of course but with the addition of think sliced steak, mushrooms, caramelized onions and a 3 pepper sauce as gravy!

We limit ourselves to once every 2 months, otherwise it gets routine and we take the mighty poutine for granted lol.
Out of all these places, the Fat Shack caught my attention. John was definitely a great guest! I hope we get to see him more!

Was a Canadian going to Myrtle Beach in the fall in South Carolina Having sausage gravy (white) and biscuits. A side dish of grits with butter salt and pepper and a couple of eggs once over lightly. YUMMY. A Cholesterol high!!! Hope we can get back next year. Another great place is Golden Corral buffet and for seafood, Captain George in Myrtle Beach Wonderful!!!!! Walking along the beach, looking at the ocean, PERFECT!!!!! Thank you Lord.

One thing I love about Sonny is when eating food each bite is deliberate and focused🤣 You can actually see his brain scanning for the flavor profile.
