PLEASE READ*PLEASE READ*IMPORTANT From what I have been told by students, although NOT instructed in the PSI Bulletin: After you have done the Chemical Service Preparation and before raising your hand, TAKE OUT THE ITEMS YOU WILL BE USING TO PERFORM THE FOIL HIGHLIGHT SECTION (gel, foils,brush,highlighting comb), lay them on your station , your gloves should already be on by this point , than raise your hand. The rater once ready will approach you to demonstrate the foil techniques quickly. Once all students have performed the section, you will move on to the Hydroxide virgin relaxer and the Relaxer retouch for those 2 sections yes you will be timed 10 min each. Follow instructions, Good Luck to ALL :)

Yadi!! Yadi! Yadi!!! I’m extremely greatful for you. I truly truly don’t know what I’d do without you bc I’ve been out of school for quite some time. I’ve spoken to my school and no one could help. (It’s a small school. one teacher who is extremely preoccupied.) but I found you and studied studied and stressed and practiced and binged. I’m proud to say I PASSED today with 91% the only thing I got paranoid about was putting things back in our kit in fear of being marked for cross contamination. I just bought a huge lawn (30 gallon) trash bag and thew the original bags in the trash. I still did all of your methods to a ‘T’ Good luck everyone! Yadi is the truth!

just FYI for fellow cosmo friends, instead of putting bags back into the kit bag, ALWAYS throw everything in the TRASH. never back into the kit because it makes the kit bag contaminated. and make sure to use different capes for some sections! some sections you need a shampoo cape or chemical cape.

Hello! I take my test tmrw and have one question. At the end of examination, what do I do with my trash bag ?? Do I put it on my kit or just leave it there since I was taught to use a pop up laundry with a trash bag. Also, do I leave the handsanitizer in the table once I cleaned up everything or everything must be in the trash ?

As you know PSI allows many states to do their practical in the privacy of their home. I hope that you in future videos will address some of this.😎🤔 As everybody in many states still go by just going to the testing sites. First of all, thank you for taking the time to make these videos! They really are so helpful. I watched your written ones and passed, now I'm off to take my practical!! 🙌 You forgetting to sanitize your hands will help me remember to do so, because i went back to see what you forgot to do.🤭🤭 Quick question, are you able to use the same mock product and brush/bowl for all three chemical services? Or do you need to switch it each time?

At my school, they told us we can use the same color bowl and brush throughout the 3 chemical services. They said the main thing was to ensure we use orange wood sticks to pour the product in the container because that's what they are looking for My main concern is cross contamination. Have you heard of anyone not receiving points because they did it with jars instead of using a color bowl? Thank you!!! I've been watching you for months. I took my schools fake board and made a 93 thanks to some things you said! Now I'm just nervous about the real one

Everyone packs the kit differently some take color bowls other take jars like the video each section has it’s own gel with brush none of our students have had a problem doing it this way. 🍀🍀🍀you’ll be just fine .

So I took my test a couple weeks ago and didn’t pass so I’m retaking it tomorrow. The only thing I’m concerned about is putting items back in my kit because last time I did, I was docked points. After using the jar of product wouldn’t it be “contaminated”? Thanks for making these videos, they’re helpful!

Review the areas you missed the most points on and the small details that they are looking for. Some students do throw everything into the trash if you do so , just take a bag that is large enough 🙂and secure it very well so it does not fall.

If I’m using color bowls for my chemical services how would I go about clean up?

You don’t once done using them you dispose of them in the trash bag.. you take the trash bag home and you can take out whatever is reusable then .

So it's ok to place some stuff back to the kit bag? Instead of trash bag? No points taking way?

It’s is ok to put stuff back into kit , sanitize hands before going into kit and after going into kit and just be sure to dispose in trash of all single use items and keep kit closed throughout the test .

What did they take points off for?

For the permanent waving section, we are taught to part in the nine sections, but you did not. Can you confirm if its ok to not do the nine sections? I would rather not waste time sectioning into nine when I only need to place 6 rods in the middle. Thank you and your videos have been so helpful :)

All of our students that have recently went have done like shown in the video and have been good, the PSI bulletin does not say to do 9 sections but yes I can see why some schools teach it that way

I failed my exam because of small steps lol. I did one slice and one weave and I didn’t get the points for two slices or two weaves. I did it how you did it on the video but it was my mistake for not doing it correctly

From feedback I’ve been getting seems like they have been grading kind of strict but I will say their point system is not very accurate how are they keeping an eye on over 10 students at the same time 😅 , don’t wait too long and go back hun look at what areas you missed the most points on and retake it 🍀

In the virgin relaxer application I see that you didn’t go back thru and apply the product to the part closest to the scalp or the ends on the entire quadrant. Does the test call for to only demonstrate it on that one piece followed by the demonstration of smoothing? Thank you so much, your videos are very helpful!

i was wondering if we choose to change the cape every service , would we take the cape off after we’re done with the section or not until the next one starts ? my instructors told me we had to use a chemical cape for this section , it’s a different material cape . i’m not sure if i should change the capes or just use it how you did in the video ! thank you hope this makes sense

If you choose to change capes for each section it is totally fine and yes you would remove at end of each section before raising your hand and you would put new one at the beginning of each section

Try clipping lower and not so close to the nape when trying to hold the towel , you can also use T pins

You can pack it whichever way you think it’s best , I did Chemical service prep bag and than had a bag for each section separate with gel and brush . Everyone does it a little different.

After you do the chemical prep. Do you not have to change the draping no more?

For the remaining sections or for the demonstration of the chemicals? No once your mannequin is draped for that section you do not need to re drape until you move to another section watch it fully to get a good visual of how I did it 🙂
